  1. Aww I'm happy for you! Posts like these make me so impatient lol I want my sleeve NOW! Congrats honey that's an amazing loss!
  2. I'm not from KY but Southern IN, fairly close to Louisville. I haven't been sleeves yet but I'm one nut appointment away from sending everything off to insurance
  3. My surgeon said around an hour. He does it laparoscopically and with the DaVinci robot.
  4. IVH is bleeding into the brain. There's more info here :,http://www.aboutkidshealth.ca/En/ResourceCentres/PrematureBabies/AboutPrematureBabies/BrainandBehaviour/Pages/Intraventricular-Hemorrhage-IVH.aspx Thoughts are with you. Keep us posted!
  5. Anything! From little hotel bars, dove, generic it didn't matter. I just made sure I liked the smell
  6. Can anybody do the task of explaining sliming to me? I have an idea but I'd like to know what to expect so I don't panic post op
  7. I used to get charley horses almost every night when I was dancing competitively. This sounds crazy but it worked. (I couldn't have bananas either as I'm allergic to latex.) I put a bar of soap under my bottom sheet at the foot of my bed. For some reason, the first night I put it there, no cramps. It worked like a charm. Try it! It's just a bar of soap . Hope you feel better! Charley horses are evil! I used to wake up crying, tangled in the blanket, begging somebody to help me ou of bed so I could walk it out.
  8. I always keep my mouth shut but in public I usually chew on a straw in a cup lol
  9. You can do it! I'm surprised how easy it is so far . Or maybe it's just because I want the sleeve so bad this is just not worth worrying over.
  10. That's awesome! I have family in Jeff. I'm going through Schneck Medical Center in Seymour for all my bariatric stuff.
  11. And Katie.brooks is looking for access to the page for military spouses. Thanks
  12. I just posted a similar question on a different board specifically for "site questions" maybe we'll see progress there
  13. How can we get the passwords to some forums? I'd like to see the Indiana Sleevers page an my fiancé wants access to the "loved ones" group and we can't figure out?
  14. 3 days today! And not that bad at all. I've only needed 3 pieces of gum total. I heard days 3 and 7 are the worse. I'm pretty happy with myself! I've quit worse addictions cold turkey but for some reason was terrified of this lol
  15. Haha I can't help it! If I've got boobs this size and I'm not breast feeding a child since I have no kids they had be a pay off. If I carry cantaloupes everyday they had better get some action!
  16. Any Bariatric surgery (except the band) can cause dumping. The risk of dumping severity and longevity increases with the bypass. In my support group we have 4-5 Sleevers that have dumping.
  17. I'm from Scott County. About 45 minutes north of Louisville, KY. Anyone close?
  18. Hello hello! I'm from Scott County Indiana. About 45 minutes straight up on North 65. I'm so glad to see there are some people at least close! I'm pre-op. one more nut appointment before they send off for confirmation. I'm so excited!
  19. I also have a question for guys. My surgeon said if things go ok I'll be in the hospital one night MAYBE two. The releasing is a little quicker as the procedure is for laparoscopically AND with the DaVinci robot. But what did you guys pack? I know I have to walk right after surgery but I don't know if I should bring my own pjs? What kind of bra? Houseshoes? Toiletries? Protein stuff and supplements? Thanks in advance! Liz
  20. I'd like to know this as well. My fiancé would like in the loved ones group, and I'd like in the Indiana one.
