  1. I was sleeved on Nov 19th..I have lost 25 lbs...post surgery...I eat everything I am suppose to, keep my calories under 900..drink a ton of Water, keep my Protein up, take my vitamins..I can go a month then only lose 1 lb...I had my NUT check my fitness pal...I have an appointment soon..I have to have some test so we can figure out whats going on...which will be balancing my nutrition differently..I may need more or less calories, more or less carbs etc...how my metabulism is running...I am thankful I am not gaining....I did go from a size 16/18 pants to a 12 but my top half hasn't changed any..

Just want to say that you are doing amazing. Did anyone tell you that the scale may not go down but inches will, which sounds like what is happening for you. They say that you should lose 50 pds in 6 months and you are already lost 25pds in 2 months. Pat yourself on the back and be proud. I think that you are going to get on the scale and all of a sudden lose 8-10 pds. That happens. Good luck. Keep smiling.

  2. I had a infection in my belly button. Go buy hibiclens in the pharmacy and triple antibiotic+pain relief ointment and alcohol and pad. When you wash use the hibiclens on your stomache and belly button also try using antibacterial soap on your whole body like dial or safeguard. Then when you are done dry the area well and then use alcohol on a cotton swab, let that dry well and peut some ointment on. It will get better.

Thank you. I have some hibiclens left over from my shower the morning before surgury. I'll start using that and the rest of the stuff you mentioned. Thankful I have all that stuff now. How long does it take to clear up on average?

mine took about 2 weeks and then I had a appointment with my surgeon and she also gave me bactriban, and a antibiotic to make sure it did not come back. As long as the discharge does not smell you will be ok taking care of it yourself. If it starts to smell you will need a script, and also it is true make sure you dry your belly first and then get a afresh towel. Good luck.

  4. I had the band surgery in 2011 cause of a well meaning husband and it was the biggest mistake of my life. If you are doing well controling yourself now that is great, but remember how you got to being over weight to begin with. With the sleeve you stomache will be permanetly reduced so you do not have to worry about gaining back the weight you already lost as before. I am not saying you can not gain weight ever again back with the will power and ambition you are showing before surgery, you are going to do amazing with the surgery.

  5. You are human, This happens, Let it go and today is another day. You can not go back and change it, but you can change it today and foward on. Be happy you have a start over mode. You can do it. You are going to be just fine. Look at what you have accomplished this far.

  6. Hi Jeanette. I just want you to know that everyone has these days, but what you need to look at is all the good & positive. I don't think that anyone who has weight issues did not count on food like you did, its normal, instead of feeling down on yourself, pick your head up high and be proud of yourself you are doing great, When I get that emotion to food, I go for a walk or just walk away from the food and do something for yourself. I am here for you and to support you. This is hard, but the prize will be so well worth it. Hang in there. Lisa
