  1. I am 38 had my surgery 4 years ago. Before surgery I lost 63 lbs, after 45, and now I'm stuck. I cannot lose for the life of me I was running a 5k 4x a week last summer and lost nothing. I am now diabetic after keeping my numbers below for 9 years. I am at a loss. I am in the middle of preparing to cut all white food, sugar and possibly go vegetarian. I am kinda sad I have to go to that extreme. I am tracking my food, carbs and sugar. I don't know what else to do...

  2. Rollin' along. I was sleeved 12/21/2012. Last MOnday I was 189.6. Crept up to 191 today' date=' hoping to see 189 again soon.[/quote']

Thank gosh! I was sleeved on the 12/27/2012 and was feeling like my loss has been slow I just reached 189.6 today! Last week I crept up so I just made a conscious effort to drink more Water and I'm back down! Doing my happy dance! Best of luck with you, keep it up!

  4. I am on metformin and it really did help with my weight loss. The only thing is you will probably get the runs till your body gets used to it. And if I take it on an empty stomach I throw up. That may just be me from what I'm learning. But most agreed about the runs.

  5. PCOS here, diabetes and fibromyalgia! I'm 9months out and sad to say my symptoms haven't changed for the pcos. I am using Minerva? (sorry bad speller) but the improvement for the fibromyalgia is amazing! That alone is worth it. I'm just hoping the diabetes goes away. I am also a slooow loser. After losing 53lbs, Sleeved 12/26/12 weight 148, current 193. Just saw my surgeon and he said everything was great and he is satisfied with the loss. So am I now.

  6. Just because it's no sugar added doesn't mean there's no sugar. In those high amounts it is not good. I have not been able to find one that has low sugar. So I gave them up. You also have to be care of alcohol sugar its just as bad!

  7. I have lived a diabetic life for years now. I guess I am just use to the flavor. I told myself this is what it tastes like and after a while it kicked in. And I am not diabetic. Mind over matter sometimes. Just adapted the life after getting gestational diabetes while pregnant. It went away but I was so used to the diet I just kept on.

  8. When you can look up baked scotch egg. Great recipe. Hard boiled egg surrounded by lean ground meat. Tons of Protein. I can only eat little more than a fourth. I like the regular recipe but for my daughter I add crushed pineapple and sweet soy sauce to the meat.

  9. I love my collar bones but my wtf moment was when I hit my hip bone with my wrist. I looked up thinking something was resting there like a book or whatever. I realized what it was and just sat there not really comprehending it. Then I got the biggest grin! Now whenever I lay on my side I'm always touching them lol!

  10. I have a little different problem, I know I have lost weight and I get the smaller sizes when I am shopping for them, but any other time I still feel big. I have dropped 10 sizes! It took me going to the pool which was daring enough, but when I got there I was the skinniest one there! I have been reliving that moment for weeks! Now its starting to sink in little by little. But without standing in front of a mirror I catch myself with the mentality of still being fat.

  11. I come here every couple of weeks to check in and now I need some support. I was sleeved 12-27-12. Before surgery I lost quite a bit of weight. Was 297 started running dropped to 258, day of surgery I was 248 now I am 197. All in all seems like a lot but only 50lbs since surgery. I need help figuring out why I keep getting stuck. I know everyone says don't look at others, were all different, but this is getting depressing. I think it might be stress and I have relocated so I don't have my doctor anymore. Maybe some ideas for menu's? 800 to 900 calories? I feel lost.

  12. So moving on next topic... I have dicovered a great recipe app called ziplist. You can download and it will even make a grocery list. You can find emily bites on there. Get mini recipe's. I have started cooking them for the whole family and they love it. Enjoy!

  13. I appreciate your opinion myst, others seem to be very passionate about theirs. I have first hand experienced a friend that is battling with food issues and depression because of. They do not want to screw up and its effecting them severely. I on the other hand am sailing thru this and its a comfortable change. I just don't want others to walk away feeling less if they choose to handle it differently. If someone picks up the habbit of anorexia or bulimia then there probably others things going on that led to it. Its hard to quite cold turkey. I needed it to just get show me I didn't need that cheesebuger. So it served its purpose. Baby steps is all I'm saying!

  14. Wow didn't realize I started a controversy! I follow my diet to a t but on 2 occasions I did take a bite and spit it out. When I thought about a second bite realized I wasn't missing anything. But how sad for ppl to come on her and criticize each other. If you have the perfect will power then why are u here? Why are u in the same situation? Everyone is different and may not be the super hero u think u are. Please think before u speak. I know its asking a lot!
