  1. My first nut appointment is on Dec. 13! I wish it was sooner... But that's only 3 weeks away.. Hopefully someone will cancel and I can have their appointment... I was hoping to have surgery in April-May... But it will be May-June... Just wanted to share my excitement of finally getting an appointment and disappointment of how far away it is...
  2. Take all the space you need to explain it helps me and everyone else My ins was upfront with telling me that there would be no more than 4 weeks between my 6 months of NUT visits... And my surgeons assistant was helpful with making sure I know it also. Don't want to miss anything!
  3. I had my first bariatric consult yesterday! They said it will probably be a month until I see the nutritionist for the first time (scheduling on Monday) And my testing (Egd, barium, etc) should be in January-February , psych visit will be scheduled by Friday of next week, and surgery by June... I was hoping for sooner... More like April-May... But the process has started! I'm so excited!
  4. Is there anyone else shooting to be sleeved in April 2013? My first surgeon consult is on November 16... I can't wait to start this process. And finally get the body that I deserve. And to look pretty for once.
  5. In one year I hope to be 6months post op. I'm about to start my process on November 16 with my first surgeon consult and then I'll be scheduling my nutritionist appointments and so on. I AM READY! I would have the surgery tomorrow if they would let me. I am getting married in March of 2014, hoping to get sleeved in April 2013 and I hope to have lost 100lbs by my wedding day! I can't wait to look amazing in my wedding dress. I can't wait to feel good about myself and to not hide from the camera any more. I can't wait to be able to shop in regular stores! I can't wait to join the losers bench!
  6. I'm so sad right now... I just got my confirmation letter from the surgeon... My first consult was supposed to be November 9... Now it has been pushed back a week til November 16... Arghhh it feels so far away... :/
  7. Is it the insurance company that requires all these tests for the surgeons?
  8. Good luck! I can't wait to see your progress!
  9. I'm planning on taking 2 weeks off to recover... I work in child care so I'll need time before I can pick up the 2 1/2 year olds that I work with. Thank God we have 2 teachers in our class and steps that come out from underneath the changing table so the children can just climb up. Keep us updated on your progress. I want to learn EVERYTHING I can about this procedure. & good luck to you too!
  10. Wow that seems so fast! I feel like the next few months are going to drag by... Ughhh! Lol especially the next month until my consult! I'm 21 and I don't know if I've ever been so excited and nervous at the same time. I wish all I had to do was meet with a nutritionist once! Lucky you! Good luck to you also!!!
  11. Ahhhh I'm so excited my first consult appointment is on November 9 at 2pm yay!!! I only wish it was sooner
  12. I will NOT give up... This dream of being healthy and skinny and having children one day is worth so much more that the frustration this process many bring =]
  13. Thank you so much for sharing! I love this!
  14. bittahoney where did you have your surgery done?
  15. I'm so glad I found this forum and now have these wonderful people that can relate to how I feel and this new venture I'm exploring. When I get home I plan on calling to set up my first consult I'm so excited for the new ventures I'm exploring. beginning ahead of me
  16. Yes they are a**es, but with the job market as crappy as it is I can't exactly just leave. Though I want to. I just got home from my first informational seminar and I'm convinced! I'll be calling to set up my first consult in the morning Thank you & everyone else for being so supportive! **hugs**
  17. WOW only 4 days! That's awesome. I don't think I will recover that quickly. Thank you so much for helping me to see a way that I can not tell people about the surgery. It is not required that we tell our boss why we need time off, but she is very curious so I know it will be asked. Currently I weigh 260 so I'm assuming the weight will come off pretty drastic at first. I'm not really sure.
  18. Oh no! I hope nothing too serious? I will be checking out your profile How much would you recomend I prepare for?
  19. I work in child care with 2 1/5 year olds... I'm thinking max 2 weeks off. Being that I don't get paid time off. I am also a baby. I HATE pain! But the discomfort and pain I will endure through surgery will be worth it when I'm healthy for the first time since I was a child. Thank you for your feed back! I really apreciate it
