  2. I had laproscopic sleeve, not a revision, and I had a fast recovery, minimal bleeding according to my surgeon and a fast recovery. Only on pain meds for 1.5 days, anti nauseau for 2 days and have been great ever since. I agree with Lisa's Hope that an experienced surgeon is the key. Good Luck
  3. They are supposed to answer within 3-5 business days. You can call the Customer Service and ask for the status of your pre approval.
  4. Also may want to try a heating pad. It helped me feel better
  5. For me it is my back. This is very interesting and most likely not a coincidence...
  6. I struggled with this as I am a stomach and side sleeper. The first night home I took the pain med and zonked right out. However, I woke in the middle of the night and found myself on my stomach. OUCH...I have a small nap pillow from Brookstone that is filled with some kind of little beads and I now sleep soundly on my side and use the pillow as a stomach support. Works perfectly.
  7. I am taking Prevacid tablets that disolve on your tongue. A whopping $102.00 co pay for one month. OUCH!!! I can take the capsules in about two months
  8. Sleeved on Monday, 11-5. Doing great. gassiness is gone for the most part and no more naseau. Went for a walk today and yesterday, not quite a mile. Really wipes me out but feels so good to be outside. Still on clear liquid diet till tomorrow. Then I get to add protein shakes. Hoping that goes down ok cuz I do feel weak.

  10. OMG Wish I saw this post yesterday. I had 2 sugar free hard candies about 2hours apart and encountered the "laxative effect". Wont eat any of those again!!!
  11. Hang in there it will get better. I was sleeved on Nov 5th and have so much less gas bubbles. I used heating pads, Gas X Chewables as the Gas strips did not work for me. Also warm or room temp drinks and smaller sips....
  12. Lets face it, the only reason a person makes negative and hurtful comments is because they are sooooo unhappy with themselves. Just remember that you can look at the mirrror and see a strong woman in the midst of redifining herself. She on the other hand, looks in the mirror and cant face what she sees which causes her to lash out at complete strangers.

  15. My surgery day is tomorrow and I just finished 10 days of Pre OP diet which includes Atkins Shakes, broth, one small meal a day (1 cup of salad w/2 oz. of deli meat), jello, etc. Lost 11 pounds. YEA To be honest it wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. Not even hungry the last few days and really sick of the protein shakes. What was tough was smelling the fam's lunches and dinners. Luckily my hubby cooked and was so supportive but it was still tough. Good Luck and I am sure you will all be successful.

  17. November 5th for me!! Nervous as heck. I am almost packed, have all the liquids I will need for the first week post op. I even enlisted my hubby and son to help rearrange our family room in an attempt to trick my mind into understanding that: "HEY, this room is different....NO MORE MINDLESS SNACKING HAPPENS IN HERE IN FRONT OF THE TV" Good Luck to all...
  18. Mine is tomorrow as well. Good luck to you and we then be on the losing side

  20. Awesome. Thanks so much
  21. You should be so proud of yourself!!!!!!!!!!! You have found the courage to proceed into the unknown, face your fears and enter in to a battle to save yourself and start an incredible journey . We are all at some stage of the journey and will keep each other going by sharing our feelings, thoughts, insights, and ideas. My surgery is tomorrow morning and I am wrestling with fear, excitement, terror and relief. Your post has touched me and reinforced that I am not alone. Thank you
