  1. have had amazing success with my sleeve so I gotta get rid of all my old clothes, starting to make listings on ebay. most clothes im selling are either new or worn a couple times. Mens and womens clothing withsizes 2xl to small/medium. link to take you to items is http://www.ebay.com/sch/tamara6468/m.html?item=151206314340&pt=US_CSA_WC_Shirts_Tops&hash=item2334994164&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
  2. Does anyone else feel like they have on a fat version of beer goggles? When I look in the mirror I still see 60 pounds more than where I'm at. When I see others pictures that are my weight and even 20-30 pounds more I think "omg she looks so little and cute" and when I see that their weights are similar, I just don't see "that" when I look in the mirror. I know everyone's built differently and lose different, I'm not saying exactly, but just remotely. Also when someone of normal bmi states they want to lose 10-15 more pounds I wonder to myself "from where, there's no place left to lose that amount from, you look great now". I'm 5 pounds under my original modest goal and now I want 10 more gone, and once I get to 10 I'll want another 5, and after that maybe 3 more...etc. I wasn't even sure I'd want to lose down to my original goal of 150, I thought I'd look too small (from what I've become accustomed to looking at for the last 13+ years), I honestly thought I'd be happiest at 170-180. Which is kinda funny cuz when I look in the mirror I still see me at 200, so my wanting 10-15 more makes me feel I might look like I think I would at my "happy" weight. I think it's cuz I'm a skinny fat person now (from the looser skin and initial muscle loss) instead of the once plump filled out fat fat person. I've heard people say it takes time for our minds to catch up with our bodies, but damn I'm almost a year out, how long are we talkin here. I don't wanna lose more than looks natural on me to the outside world but still see an obese BMI body in my inside world.
  3. ROC (ridiculous obstacle coarse) Race this weekend was a blast. It's like wipeout in a 5K highly suggest it for anyone that wants to get out see some great outfits and have a little fun I'm the one sportin the black tutu

  5. Thank you My one year out will be 10/25 this year so I'm at 10 months now.
  6. Recovering from a long day of floating the river and after looking at the pics from the trip I actually liked what I saw. After 13 years of hating 95% of pictures I was in its nice to not cringe and untag myself from shared FB ASAP then send death threats to my friends that posted them lol. Would love to see others summer fun pics as well. We are all getting healthier and happier and summertime is a great way to show off the new you no more hiding behind others in pictures...show your stuff with your head held high Have to get back to civilization to upload some new before pics off my comp then I will post my summer fun pics as well
  7. I wouldn't consider myself as a lightweight but I was too skinny and healthy for insurance coverage so I self paid in Mexico. Started at 39.5 bmi and am almost "normal" 9 months later at 25.1 bmi. Best decision I've ever made. Please ignore my sexy tall sock pic I have making fun of them, but shows the difference.
  8. The kind words and support are much appreciated and have been through this process. I wish everyone the best of luck and congrats for all the success so far
  9. You're welcome and I'll be 29 in a cpl weeks. But haven't been under 200 since I graduated HS The weight came on gradually but it's not like I was average and gained 60 pounds in a year. Not sure if that helped my skin situation or not though
  10. 1 pound away from normal bmi 5'4" and 146 lbs 9 months after getting sleeved at 230 lbs. some updated pics from the summer.
  11. Just wanted to spread the word that the Victoria secret at the mall had 20%off already sale priced bras....sooo basically all the $50+ bras are half priced. Hopefully it's a generalized sale not just local so you guys can go stock up like I did.
  12. I've already posted this but I figured if post here for you too **Stepped on the scale today and saw the 150 pounds I had set for goal Was sleeved just under 8 months ago on 10/25/12. I'm 5'4" and HW was 230+ and 80 pounds later at 150. Went from 18/20 jeans/xl tops to 8-10 jeans and medium tops. As much of a physical change that you can see there was 10 times the mental and emotional change. I'm no longer afraid to be seen in public, I can put on an outfit without changing 15 times then deciding to not go anyways, I will go places alone and not have to have a pack of people with me to hide behind, and I can find clothes that fit at a regular store, I can be around cute fit skinny people and hold my head high and not feel like crawling under a rock, and I'm out being active and having FUN!!! So thankful for this amazing surgery and for getting my life back.
