  1. thank you klscott!

I really appreciate everyone being so helpful.

What is your day to day like the first month or so?? I'm a little nervous about doing my surgery a month before Christmas...

I had my surgery 2 days after Easter and was worried because we usually have Had a big meal. I had to make sure that I made weight so that was my first goal and from that point on I haven't thought about it since. My first month wasn't very difficult but I will admit I didn't make it the full 2 weeks of liquids, I made it about a week and a half and had no issues. I ate a lot of eggs the first month. Find things that you enjoy and listen to what Chris and Steph teach they are wonderful. You will have cravings but remember why you are doing the surgery. I spent most of my first month just trying to stay on track with my fluids and remember that trumps everything.

  2. That's my doctor! I'm getting sleeved on Nov 20th.

I've heard great things about him.

I'm so nervous - are you doing well? Was there any pain?

I"m thinking I'll take off a week from work. I am 5'3" and 202 right now hoping to drop 60-70 lbs.

So excited to hear input from someone else regarding Dr. B and share your experience!!!

    OMG I want to know everything <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Any questions you have please let me know. I am an open book. I had a friend that helped me thru the process and it was so helpful to have someone that had been there and able to answer my questions.

As for pain there was the normal pain from having surgery but nothing internally which is what I was worried about. I bruise very easily so that was the worst for me. I took the pain meds in the hospital and 1 dose before I left and that was it for me. I will tell you that when it comes to pain I am a real baby if that answers your question. I started back into the gym on Saturday after surgery with no problems.

I hated to feeling of drinking after surgery, my family had to make me push myself but other than that no issues.

  3. This is an old thread but I'm currently going through WeightWise with Dr Walton. I'm self pay and have done everything needed EXCEPT lose all of my 15 pounds. I was curious- after this last hurdle' date=' how soon does dr Walton schedule surgery? It's my biggest unknown and it's the unknowns that knaw at me[/quote']

I used Dr B from Weightwise and I actually had my surgery date set for me before I had all the pre-surgery weight loss complete. I went for my pre-op appointment and didn't quite have all the weight off so I was rescheduled for 2 weeks later. I adore Dr.B and live the program with Weightwise. My pre-op nurse was one of their first sleeve surgeries and she made me feel totally at ease while I was waiting to go back. I would highly recommend this program. I am currently 6months post op and have lost 107lbs. This surgery saved my life, and is helping me have a better quality of life with my 4 year old daughter.

  4. I have a friend that runs a nutrition club here and she has taught me how to make gourmet shakes. The vanilla is the most versatile. My dietician doesn't seem to have any issues with me drinking the shakes as long as I am not depending solely on them for the Protein. She has said she wants me to have things that will take longer to digest. But I do get my sweet fix by doing the shakes without all the calories.

  5. Don't worry about what you have done just keep pushing forward. If you dwell on the errors it can hinder the progress. I craved pizza for the longest time and yes I did finally give in and indulge but my sleeve helped keep the amount under control. I do the best that I can with the tools that I have been given but I am human and not always able to say no to my cravings. Best of luck to you.

Btw I wondered about the milk also, my dr says none and I have noticed that it doesn't taste right or good for that matter anymore. Have you noticed that?

  6. I am almost 6 months out now and have had all the thoughts and frustrations described. I found if I got on the scale daily I would get more frustrated. I set up 1 day a week to check my progress and that seemed to help. My weight loss has dropped considerably over the past month but I know I am at the point that I will start leveling off. I also had a slow start and had a lot of expectations going in. Your body will catch up with the reduced calories as time goes on just stick to your program and you will see. The weight didn't come on overnight and it isn't going to come off that way either.
