  1. BUYERS REMORSE lol I had the exact feelings. I was laying in pre-op wondering how many people chickened out at the last minute. I was wondering if my doc would be mad if I left. Lol. the first two weeks sucked. I felt guilty for going to such extremes to lose weight... fast forward 3 months later and I feel sooo much better. Down 40 pounds and ok with my choices. I chose this journey and I plan on it being a great decision. Nothing worth having ever came easy. I'm an inspiration to co-workers now and happy. You'll be happy soon
  2. What a journey it has been for you. Hopefully one day it will be just a memory and you will be happy and healthy. I had a c-section four months before my surgery, scar tissue issues were never brought up by my doc. Never would have thought to ask.
  3. I'm 5'1 and 3/4 lol... the hardest thing for me is not being able to eat and drink at the same time. I swear I'm dying of thirst after one bite. Other than that I have been great
  4. I was sleeved on September 26th highest weight 216 day of surgery 209 9 weeks out I'm at 184. Where are my twins at? *how much weight have u lost. *any foods u can't tolerate? *still drinking shakes? *favorite snacks? *bad experiences? Lets chat. =)

  6. I ate a fun size snicker and felt sick too... ughhh
  7. I'm five weeks out and put a cup of coffee in my morning protein shake daily.
  8. Its been four weeks now and it has gotten better! One day at a time. Down 26 pounds and feeling great. Hope everyone is doing well
  9. Sleeved 9-26. Down 26 pounds loving all the energy I have now. Not liking the fact I have to wait 30mins after eating to drink. That's a hard one for me.
  10. I went to a birthday party at a bowling alley yesterday. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and ate only the chicken. Worked for me.
  11. It is So hard for me to get used to not being able to drink while I'm eating. It's such a natural habit to want to have a drink while eating. Last night I ate a piece of tilapia and get the ever so familiar feeling of it being stuck in my throat. I've had a sip of water might help to push it down boy was I WRONG! I spent the next 20 minutes in the bathroom thinking it was all going to come back up. Ughhhh Why do you hate me Mr. sleeve.. 4weeks out down 25lbs.
  12. So I'm 12 days out and am wondering what the "slimies" and the "foamies" that I read about are? Also chewing the flintstones vitamins leave a nasty taste in my mouth. What are the alternatives? And lastly how is everyone measuring food in ounces once we are on soft diet? Like meats and cheeses?
  13. I'm in the same boat! I'm one week post op and have the stuck feeling. Right behind my sternum hurts. Blahhhhhhh I wanna be normal lol I'm also learning I can either eat or drink not both at the same time. Thats gonna take some getting used to.
  14. Your post was greatly needed and I'm sure we all relate.... I don't feel so bad for eating when I'm hungry. I'm learning my new sleeve and not going starve in the process.. to each their own.
  15. omg! I'm totally gonna name my sleeve! That temperamental hitch needs a name! Thanks lol
  16. Thanks everyone for the kind words. I was being a baby and felt like whining. I know the results are totally going to be worth it. Already down ten pounds! Its such a change bot being able to just shove food in my mouth whenever I want. I'm not sure if I'm hungry or its my brain. I'm in the process of learning my new stomach so I know it will take time. This is a journey I chose. Not gonna lie its hard and I've cheated once (shhh don't tell) I guess I just need to get adjusted to the new me and put my big girl panties on. It will be better in the future when I'm not so food restricted.. we can do this!!
  17. I'm five days out and having a rough day. Sometimes I think I would have been happier chubby. I'm sick of being hungry I'm sick of feeling like something is stuck in my throat I'm sick of gas I'm sick of having to burp everytime I eat or drink I'm sick of sticking needles in my belly I'm sick of this headache I'm sick of broth Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I know I'm being a crybaby but today has been craptastic. Thanks for letting me vent.
  18. I was sleeved five days ago and have found gas x strips that dissolve on your tongue to work wonders!! And of course walking good luck
  19. I feel the same way. Had mine on the 26th and I'm hungry. I think I should have had a labotomy instead lol usually after a few drinks of a protein drink or some grits I feel better. I've noticed I need to eat or drink every few hours
  20. I had mine on the 26th. And had a bowel movement two days later. It was all liquid coming out. I have yet to have a solid bowel movement yet.
  21. Hello everyone. I'm so happy I stumbled upon this site for all my 473638362873 questions lol. I had my sleeve done on Wednesday the 26th. My highest weight was 224 (I'm 5'2") and after the pre-op diet I started my journey at 209. I'm so new post op and already hungry. Is this normal? I get hungry often but a few swigs of a protein drink or some mashed potatoes and I'm ok. I thought the hunger would disappear. Also when did everyone start the puree diet? I know everyone is different. Thanks all
  22. I'm from ferndale Michigan. Had my vsg five days ago at st. Johns providence as well!!
