  1. I think I figured out my own problem. I have been taking reflux medicine for years and I have continued to take that post op. I have been sip, sip, sipping up until I go to sleep. Last night I didn't lay down for like 45 minutes after I finished sipping and this morning no problems - and mind you that was at maybe 3:00 A.M. So I am going to have to try and get my fluids in faster. Any suggestions because when I drink to fast it hurts?

  2. I also take the opurity multis - they are gargantuan! My doc said absolutely no gummies' date=' and no Flintstones. They are actually not allowed to endorse anyone company or give samples, so I was dependent on a friend of mine for advice. I have the Wellesse liquid Calcium for now (tastes like creamsicle!) and when I'm done with that, Calcet chewables. Not sure what to do when I run out of the Opurity though. They are huge and expensive.[/quote']

My Nut said that we can do the Centrum Chewables and I bought some of those from Walmart and they are less expensive than the Opurity.

  3. I'm 10 days postop and just started back on Vitamins. I'm taking the opurity Vitamins made by the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury ppl. No throwing up (so far) although I had to bite it into three pieces and chomp it down. My stomach is gurgling a little but that might be because I also started full liquids today and was drinking a Protein shake.

Hey Amanda I have been taking those also without any problem, but they are to freaking huge so when I finish them I am going back to the Centrum chewables they are much smaller.

  4. Sooooo.. I know this journey was very long' date=' emotional, and time consuming for ALOT of you. But.. For me.. It wasn't. My insurance was fairly easy to get approved.. Did all my requirements pretty fast, then had the surgery. I'm thinking I jumped in to this WAY to fast. Is this just the infamous regretful stage post OP? Or have I made a huge mistake? Oh well.. Can't go back I guess. Just starting to get depressed.[/quote']

Hi Ashbhey I feel the same as you. I keep questioning myself if I made the right decision or not because it takes way to long to eat. I choked on thinned cream of wheat the other day, I was eating it fast and it was a very bad feeling- I just couldn't believe it. I also got to full off of Jello once and was like are you kidding me? I didn't go into the surgery quickly though, I had to do a 6 month diet per my insurance and by the time everything else got completed and scheduled 9 months had passed. All I can tell you is that the people who are farther out than us keeps reassuring me that it will get better. I was sleeved on the 18th of March and so far it had gotten better each day but it is just hard because we have to learn and relearn some things. This forum is a life saver because you can talk to people who have been where you are, so don't be shy and ask away.

  5. I feel great really got the hang of this I was at 410 lbs when I started this process in December and now I'm 2months out and 30 lbs away from -100lb :-) I'm soooo excited because I can work out more and I'm going to be a totally different person so glad i made the decision to do this :-):-):-) !!!!!!

That's great keep up the good work!

  6. I'm really not kidding or exaggerating.. This is super tmi.. Turn around now if you're easily grossed out!

Sooooo.. Two issues. One is for my fellow lady sleevers... I got sleeved Monday (so I'm 6 days post OP). I started my period Wednesday' date=' 3 weeks early (I'm on birth control to have it once every 3 months). I can't remember the last time I bled this bad. I mean, it's REALLY heavy. Is this normal?

Second TMI question... I can't stop pooping! Every hour-ish I'm running to the potty. I have no idea why! I'm on a liquid diet! And it's a very liquidy #2, but still.. I'm only 6 days post op.. It's REALLY hard for me to turn the necessary ways in order to wipe my bum.. Especially 10 times a day. Any insight or advice?[/quote']

I was due for my period when I had my surgery March 18th and it hasn't started yet. About the pooping yesterday I had a bad bout because I was taking 2 stool softners a day so I won't take any today. Are you drinking milk? You could be lactose intolerant now. I bought Lactaid for after surgery just in case I became lactose intolerant.

  7. One of my incisions opened the scab came right off of it and now all I see is a white fatty looking thing :( it's not oozing or anything I'm bummed I have to wait till the morning to call the doctor . Is the scar gonna be worse now? Ugh

Sorry I don't have an answer about the scar I am only 1 week out, but keep it dry and clean.

  8. Just was sleeved march 21st ' date=' I wasnt hungry now I am

I dont feel like I loay any weight but originally I was 248 surgery day I was 237 . In the hospital I gained weight from fluids left at 242 I weighed myself today I am 233 . I feel depressed and like omg why did I do this , very sore also where they pulled the stomach from. Jus wanna feel good. Is this ok? :([/quote']

I can't stop watching the damn food channel! The full liquid diet is way worse after surgery, I am already planning what I am going to eat for my two weeks of puréed foods.

  9. Hi' date=' I just got my hiatal hernia repaired and got the sleeve surgery on March 20. I'm feeling pretty good even though I have pain between my chest. After I walk the pain tends to subside. I imagine its gases. I keep myself hydrated but I can't stand the taste of any Isopure drinks. They make me nauseous and leave me an after taste. In other words I'm not getting my Protein and that concern me. Has that happened to anyone else?[/quote']

Have you tried the nectar Protein Powder, or carnation instant Breakfast?
