  1. thanks for the advice! I honestly am kind of scared of trying to eat or drink after reading all the posts. I have got alot of broths and a few Protein drinks' date=' but that is it I havent really got anything else yet because I dont know if I am goin to be able to tolerate anything.[/quote']

Just remember to add Protein to everything you drink and eat and sip all day long.

  2. Still going on for a couple more days...

Plus these are on sale today..

    Good price.

I usually buy the chewable ones (a bit chalky but ok) because they are cheaper than these.

I am so bummed I didn't see your post before about the free shipping. I bought those Cookies and you are right they are pretty darn good. Have you tried the brownies? They are really good also. Next time I am ordering the chips, they even sent me a $10 off coupon for ordering. I found those Cookies at The Vitamin Shoppe also so I couldn't help myself and helped myself to a whole box. I won't eat more than 1 cookie at a time and not everyday because they are pretty pricey.

  3. Maybe somebody on here can help me out...

Per my insurance I have to have 3 consecutive months of weight loss documentation. So my first month I saw my PCP was June, I saw her July and I see her next week. So to me that would be 3 months. But when I've asked people in the bariatric program some say its in 3 months (June July aug) and someone else told me it has to be June-July (1 month) July-aug ( 2 month) aug-sept (3 month).

** I'm just a little confused, has anyone had this problem?**

They don't count the first visit because you are just being seen they haven't monitored you yet - same thing happened to me but I had to do 6 months which really turned out to be 7 months and then I had to wait 2 more months ( doung nutrition class and othe required appointments) until I got the surgery.

  4. I have my window cracked open this morning at dawn for some fresh air and I smell waffles wafting in the wind from a neighbors house 500 feet away. How fair is that?!?!? It smells so good. Surprised I can pick this smell up considering it is coming from inside their house. It really is messing with my concentration. :) I cannot say such a smell has caused quite a reaction as this since way before surgery.

I love waffles I have one of those Waring double waffle irons. I have been asking my boys if they want some so that I can steal a forkful and they keep telling me no mom you have waffled us out.

  5. Sleeved on Friday. In an attempt to ensure I wasn't going to end up dehydrated' date=' I may have pushed too many fluids. Just spent the last 25 mins walking up and down the hallways at home, feeling like there's an elephant sitting on my chest, who also happens to be using his trunk to inflate my stomach simultaneously.

What's a realistic liquid goal for this early on? I did also drive 12 hours to get us home today so tired and perhaps not attributing the cause of my discomfort accurately I don't really know.[/quote']

I was drinking 64 ounces by day three but it took me all day 8 AM to 2 AM.

  6. Hello all I really need some help I can't get no more than 20 ounces in if that I'm not hungry it hurts I'm so afraid of becoming dehydrated and have to go back to the hospital. I'm 4 days post op.

When I was first sleeved it took me an hour to drink 8oz of Protein. I would drink all day long from 8 AM to 2 AM to get in my 64 ounces and 70 grams of protein because I didn't want to get dehydrated and yes it hurt if I drank to fast, so you do have to sip all day long.

  7. i cant believe it.

i suffered from PCOS and havent gotten pregnant til now, the old fashion way without trying.

    i am down 140lbs.

hopefully, i will remain healthy and continue being healthy with gaining a healthy amount of weight without blowing up.

    wish me luck!

That's great I was wondering where you were? I think that last time I saw a post from you, you were looking into plastic surgery. You won't blow up, look how far you have come! You are going to do great with your eating and you are going to have a beautiful baby!

  8. Cheer bear' date='

How is your diet! Starting, surgery and current weight? Your situation interests me because I had surgery June 20 my starting weight was 191 and I am only at 185- 5 weeks out! Sooooooo frustrated. What do your doctors tell you?[/quote']

Sounds like you started out a light weight - under 200 lbs. so you may not lose weight as fast as others who are heavier. How much do you have to lose?

  9. FYI - relaxed my hair yesterday. It had been ten weeks and I couldn't wait any longer. I was so scared it would all fall out but everything was fine. I use no lye regular strength.

I know what you mean I went to the salon last week for a touch up and I have been trying not to manipulate my hair to much. I noticed last night that it is still shedding quite a bit though - I'm 4 months PO. Good news is I'm 75 lbs. lighter!

  10. I'm 2 months post OP and I've lost 43lbs but I'm so scared I'm not gonna hit my first goal. I started at a size 24 & I need to be a size 18 by sept 13th. Im in my brothers wedding and my bridesmaids dress is a 18. That's actually like a 16 in normal sizes. Im so scared im not gonna make it. I lost 4 inches in my hips but I need to lose 5 more in 6 weeks.

I am 4 months PO and have lost 75 lbs. so far. I noticed that I starting stalling when I added in fruit and vegetables so I cut the amounts of those and try to stick to mainly Protein.

  11. I am 20 days post op. I have lost 30lbs since pre-op diet I have not lost in 11 days. I can't get 64oz of Fluid like I'm supposed too and I can't get 60 grams of protein! I feel like a failure and I regret this whole damn thing!!!! I'm so tired and week I can't work out! I have 5 kids to take care of and I don't want too :(

I get maybe 25oz of Fluid and 10 grand of Protein this sucks!!!!!!

    I need advice bad!!!

I am 4 months out but right after surgery I put Protein Powder in everything I drank and ate, get you some unflavored Protein. I would start sipping at 8 AM and drink until 2 AM to get my 64 ounces and my 70 grams of protein in because I didn't want to end up back in the hospital because of dehydration and the protein helps you to heal quicker. I drank a lot of warm protein drinks- powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken Soup and warm milk with chocolate Unjury.< /p>
