  1. Its not bad at all! Your sleep when it goes in the hard part. When it comes out its so quick and I really didn't feel nothing.
  2. My surgeon told me no gummy vitamins has anyone heard the same or know why not?
  3. I feel your pain. I'm 27 and 2 weeks post op and I love to BBQ and Smoke meats and make all kinds of good soul food. I first off asked God for strength and I realized I can still eat this stuff in a while but not in ridiculous portions. Most importantly I'm a man and never been to the beach or pool without a shirt on, that hurts more. I'm praying for you!
  4. My response to her would be to tell her to read Matthew 18:7 and what its says if there is a temptation that causes you to sin then it is better to remove it. Gluttony is a sin and if removing 80 % of your stomach keeps you from that, I say God Bless You!
  5. I'm 27 been sleeved since October 5th and everything is moving along I'm 6ft 300 down 30lbs from surgery. I've been getting my liquids and slowly eating different foods. Not cleared to weight lift until the 30th so I cant wait.

Blue moon or a hefenweizen beer (wheat) is also my beer of choice but I'm only 1.5 weeks post op so I will wait 6 months.
  7. Hi I'm 2 weeks post op and I'm wondering does anybody have any good soft food ideas or recipes? I'm basically eating eggs, salmon and yogurt? Also how long does stomach swelling usually last?
  8. Reward yourself use it as a goal reward.
  9. I'm 5 days post Op and I feel pretty good. Walking helps alot and protein shakes give you energy. It was a little difficult getting 1oz down every 15 min at first but now its a lot easier almost normal. Once the swelling and healing take place you have alot easier of a time doing everything. Gas x and prilosec are real helpful. Bottom line water, protein and walk.
  10. I'm using a liquid vitamin called Miracle 2000
  11. So I had my surgery on Friday and I got discharged on Sunday. All I can say is get your protein in for energy ASAP, I found in my case that It makes a world of difference drinking Isopure every 15 min. Get your multivitamin and B-12 in too.
  12. Going in at 10am, not so much nervous just very anxious. I have so much family support and most importantly I know God is with me.
  13. Do not be afraid we are all in this together. I go in for surgery on Friday and I know that God is with me so I will not be discouraged.
  14. Praying for safe surgeries for all October sleevers!
  15. Ok I picked up some protein (Isopure). I had my pre op appointment and class and registered at the hospital. Loma Linda University Medical Center. I start my 2 day liquid diet tomorrow.
  16. I figured baby food is a soft easily digestible food for post op. Walking Is definitely something I will definitely Concentrate on doing. I heard the heating pad helps with soreness and keeping you warm. Appreciate the incite!
  17. Im 27yr old male due to be sleeved October 5th of this year. Can anyone tell me how much pain they experienced from surgery.
