I am just getting over a cold. Told my primary dr to give me a Z pack and it wiped it out just in time for my surgery. Which is tomorrow. I would call your dr and make sure you can still do the surgery.

So relieved to her that dr nguyen was a great dr. Ths is the first thing i have heard about him. Thank you so much for sharing. I am really scared and nervous but this really truly helped. :-D 6 more days til im sleeved!!!!

Im having surgery at good samaritan hospital with Dr Richard Nguyen on October 10th. Next WEDNESDAY!!!!! Im so SCARED!!!!!!

Ok so im reading all these posts and im like wow next Tuesday. Thats so close. I hope they have a successful recovery as well. Then it dawns on me. Mine is WEDNESDAY!!!! The day after. How did it get here so fast?!!!! o_O I suddenly have the urge to puke. My nerves are starting to get to me. Im happy to see that all who just had surgery are doing mazing well and it does give me a little amount of relief but im not gona lie. Im so freakin scared. I tell myself that if i can have a c-section than i can do this but ummmmmmmmm. That still doesnt help. :-\

Im on day 6 of my liquid diet and my mouth is sooooooo dry. I drink 2-3 protein shakes a day. Chocolate peanut butter protein powder shake. I add bananas and peanut butter for extra protein. But know that the reason my mouth is dry is cause of water. I need to drink alot more. Cant wait til the liquid diet part of all this is over and i can eat actual food again. I think this is the hardest part. My surgery is the 10th and as it gets closer. I get more nervous. It will be here before i know it.....

How do you find out the success rate of a surgeon? My dr is Richard Nyugen from Advanced Surgical Associates in San Jose, Ca. Has anyone one here heard of any bad work he has done? Or has had the sleeve done by him? How was it? Im seeing stories on here and it has me scared. o_O

QUESTION? Is it okay to add peanut butter and/or banana into protein shake for extra protein during the 2 week liquid diet, as long as its liquified?

So true @ chad. Its good to see people choosing a healthier way of life. Yes we may have not done it before which got some of us here but everyone deserves a second chance to be happy and healthy. I just joined today & i am learning alot.

That happen to me. My dr office told me they had a cancellation and i was to have surgery on sept the 26th but then called back a day later saying that it was too soon and that i had to be on the liquid diet for 2 weeks. The 26th would have only been one week. I wished that they wouldve just gave me the cancelled date. It would have been over by now. Uggghhh. But Oct 10 will be here before i know it. Thank you so much for the info. I am googling everything possible about him right now and am getting a little more comfortable in my choice of dr. I live in Yuba City tho. Which is 2 and a half to 3 hours from San Jose. Not local at all. Tho i loved out there. I tell everyone that im from sacramento cuz when i say Yuba City, they are like Huh? Where is that? LOL. Im actually 40 mins from Sac.

Lol. It sucks huh?!!! I told my bf that i wasnt cooking anymore!!!! Lol. Tho i still do, i gotta fight myself not to eat it. Its only day 4 of my liquid diet and tho the temptation is killing me. I know i cant mess up.

Mslnzee. Thats how i feel. I am on my liquid diet now and my bf and son are eating dinner and im like omg. I want what they are having! But then i stop myself and make my protein shake. Disipline is going to be the greatest hurdle but it must be done for a successful outcome. I say this yet i am daydreaming of spaghetti. LOL. Just stay focused.

Hello October sleevers. Im Christina. 35, Mother of a 16 yr old son. I live in Sacramento, Ca and am scheduled for surgery October 10th by Dr. Richard Nyugen in San Jose, Ca. Am i scared? HELL YES!!!! Hoping this site will encourage and motivate me as much as possible. I am 250 pounds and my health is not what it was, so my dr recommended this surgery. I wanted the lap band at first but he promised me that there were less complications with gastic sleeve. I read some of the posts on here of some complications amd now im more scared then before. I was unaware of such issues. I felt so bad for them. Praying that it doesnt happen to me. So im on here looking for support. =)
