  1. I was up and about right after being sleeved. I was the same being banded. The less medication the faster you recover and get back to normal
  2. I'm sorry you had to waste time and extra pain on so much, but glad you're healing now.
  3. All the more reason to succeed! Your new healthy lifestyle is going to prove you did the right thing
  4. You'll do fine and have a blast!
  5. This is off the subject, but you got me curious. Why was the lapband attempt unsuccessful? I think this is the first I've heard of that happening.
  6. I think the concept of working with lipo is different than with weightloss.
  7. I love hearing the happiness in your words.. CONGRATS! You're doing awesome and keep up the great job!
  8. I think any walking is going to benefit you and staying active until you're comfortable doing more and more. I walk a couple miles every day with my job so I don't always stop at the gym. I hate excercise and don't preach it to anyone because I suck at it. Start by becoming more active in your daily life and just keep adding more and more. I love to bike though and once it stops raining I'll get my self back on it. Do what you can.. And then a little more
  9. I think it has a lot to do with the Mom living a healthy life style and not enabling bad eating habits in the children.
  10. Oh Lord.. Don't tell me things like that!
  11. OMG.. I go on vacation and all heck breaks out! Sorry OP.. I'm hijacking for a minute. I can't believe the crap the Ecudorian post brought out... Crazy peeps! I sure hope some got banned over the awful things they said.. Nasty angry soul she and her minions are! Ok.. Carry on
  12. I can't believe someone would suggest wasting a good Protein
  13. Ate like a normal person.. Just a lot less! And a 1/2 glass of chilled Reisling. Lost a pound.. Love when that happens
  14. Not sure why the location of the surgery was even mentioned since it has nothing to do with the current issues. As for the BMI.. My dr ok'd me for the sleeve when my lapband was removed. My BMi was 20.3 unfortunately .. By the time I got the sleeve my BMI jumped significantly. Anyway.. Who cares what anyone's BMI is? No one knows the story behind everyones choice for being sleeved. OP.. You need to have you PCP refer you to a gastronologist or bariatric surgeon.
  15. Oh oh.. What's up?
  16. You are sounding like my jr high students
  17. That was good! You've got the right mind set and you are awesome!
  18. This brings back my college days when I was required to take Greek Mythology. For the life of me I couldn't understand why or where I would correlate it in my future. Now, I know. You are a classic example. *shakes head*
  19. Well, hells bells! Aren't we just so blessed to be presented with the existence of Miss LouiseC!
  20. When was your surgery and how much weight have you lost? Are you labs normal?
  21. This is also the area of your lg intestine and can be acting irritable. Are you regular with your BM? Or it could be bad gas. Or a million other things so .. Always check with dr if you feel it's needed
  22. Most grocers carry the Bolthouse, but remember its in the refrigerated section near the salads. I love this and like mylifeinpink said.. The nut facts are awesome and it tastes so yummy!
  23. I arranged ahead of time for no post-op pain meds of any kind. I find they hinder a quicker recovery time and YES.. They are a huge factor in the awful constipation others have. I had no constipation issue or diarrhea either.
  24. Yep, all she has to do is go to lapband talk and search complications. Lapband has the highest rate of chronic complications. It should be banned.
  25. Sheesh.. There's another post today about the miracle loser and I'd love to be her, but since I've got a good 30+ years on her, oh well. From day one I was ok with losing normal (or slow, as we call it) because it seems to work better with my mind. It's helping me set my mind around the new lifestyle I'm going to live the rest of my life. I think if I shed all my weight within 6 months, it would make it easier to slide back into my old eating habits. As re: the OP.. I understand your feelings. If I'm in the mood I respond with "useful knowledge"
