I wish I would have gotten this at 180 instead of 245, at 180 I thought I was cute when in reality I was out of control and down a bad path. The sleeve now is about living a better healthy life and if you cant get rid of 40-50 pounds on your own then I would say the sleeve is the way to go. I look back now and wonder what was I thinking letting myself get this Big and unhappy. Dr's should allow people to get the sleeve once they start having issues trying to get rid of unhealthy weight because no one should reach a large amount of unhealthy weight in order to receive help.

My doctot told me to start the pre-diet 10 days before so I am trying to see when it is I have to start I think it is Jan 18

My sleeve date is Jan 28 and that's great Im happy but my college graduation is in May and I want to look great for pic's and family, I dont have any nice pic's of me and I would love to finally be happy to look great and order my cap and gown a smaller size. Just wanted some feed back on how much weight I can get rid off, I know everyone is different but just need to feel some hope...... Im about 245 now and Im working on getting some weight off before the sleeve date.

Hi GA so far Jan 7, so excited but scared.

Im in the same boat 3 kids family in another state, happy the hospital is 5 minutes away and the hubs will stay with the kids and pick me up when Im ready, no big deal dont over think it, if your wife can handle the kids and help you then great if not then you need help, the more you think the more worry you get. i will take my cell phone with me and the nurses will keep him updated.

Not on it yet but confused-->Can you have cream of wheat on it or yogurt? I'm trying to understand the information my dr gave me and it has protein shakes but on another paper it mentions cream of wheat, Dont like this Liquid Diet

I have to say that this post has to be one of the most valuable ones to me because its honest, I have always loved food and will and the sleeve will not take that away I just need to find peace with my eating and use it for fuel instead of pleasure, who doesnt love wine with cheese or a good slice of pie but do I want to look at my life with regret or do I want to know I have the power and can live a balance life. I get my sleeve in Jan and Im trying to find new ways of living and finding other things that can make me happy, I have to trade this addiction for another one that is healthy for me.

Dr is the best person to tell you due to your body size and what would look right, and yes bigger is better but not too big.

yes thank you for posting this the sleeve is just a tool but its mind over matter and it looks hard but we have the power.

Thank you Connie3, nope I cant Im having it done at a military hospital and the other person is not here so its either this Ahole or go out and my insurance doesnt cover it out and the only thing left is my Band and bypass
