  1. Hi Josie, I was about 15 - 18 lbs from my goal when I had my tt and bl and 10 lbs from goal when I got my arms done. I'm working hard now to lose that last 9-10 lbs, although I am soooo very pleased with where I am at now. I can actually wear a sz 4 jeans....whoop! And no bulging, that's the best part. Good luck with those last few nasty lbs, but don't let that stop you from getting the plastic surgery done now, if that's what you want. Later, Joanie :o)

  5. Okay, here are the arm pics....3 days after and 4 weeks after. I also threw in one so you could see that you can't see the scar and, more importantly, the flab.....is gone! cropped arms 3'7'09.bmp cropped arms 3'30'09.bmp cropped arms 3'30'09b.bmp
  6. Thanks to you all for you're comments and support. 7. I guess I could crop some of the tummy tuck and show the arms, but not the boobs...I'm a little too modest for that. Haha! Let me work on that. Don't expect them to look too pretty right now, it hasn't been that long. I can tell you I lost 2 in. under my bust, my bust is only 1/2 in. smaller(which is fine), 4 in. less at my waist, 4 +1/2 in. less at my hips and 3 in. smaller in my upper leg. :crying: Thanks for the interest and I will get those pics up soon. later, Joanie )
  8. Well, I have had an arm lift now, about 2-3 weeks ago and doing well. A little sore, but healing. I think I'm done, though!

    May 06'ers

:crying: I'm almost to goal, and have had a tummy tuck, breast lift and arm lift. The arms are still healing, (only 2 weeks since surgery) but I think I will really like the way they'll look. I'm really feeling great about what I've accomplished alot since my banding and although some may say I've "cheated" or some other remarks ....I don't care, cause it was still alot of work on my part. You all know what I'm talking about, right? Well, anyway, I'm still here and "Feelin' Great" later, Joanie )

    picking a plastic surgeon

Too bad you don't live here in so Texas...I have a wonderful plastic surgeon. Dr. Brian Burns in Victoria, Tx. I had a tummy tuck and breast lift done Jan. 6th and on Mar. 3rd. I'm getting my arms done. He's great.

What do you take for cramps?

Ask your dr about a prescription drug called Ponstel...It worked for me when I got cramps and now my daughter uses it for hers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mefenamic_acid
  15. ok, so maybe you need to go to your usercp, then under settings and options click on edit options...scroll down to thread display options and make sure you have checked show signature. save and that should fix it. I hope!

  16. "Can you tell me where and how to put a ticker on my page? I have tried to add one but... um... I'm a little computer stupid bc it didn't work... :( YOu are doing so great! Thank you for the encouragement and support!!!"

Hi, looks like you figured it out...or at least you seem to have it in your signature. Thanks for the nice compliment, and I wish you all the luck in the world with your weight loss. Joanie :o)

  17. Not me, my dr said not to drink for at least 1 hr after eating and I've stuck to that.

    Loose Skin!

You are young so your skin should have enough elasticity that it won't sag, depending on how much weight you lose and how fast you lose it. I'm in my fifties so I had some cosmetic surgery done to get rid of mine. I feel great!

    Feeling Hopeless

I didn't have any problem changing drs., but I may not live where ever you're from. It may be different there. Give it a try, ask on here if anyone knows of a good dr in your area....you've got nothing to lose and everything to gain. ( or should I have said lose ...haha) Joanie :sneaky:)

    Questions for a newbie.

I was 52 when I had my lapband and I had no problems. I did not need a stress test before my surgery as I was self pay. I have had a stress test since and I can tell you the treadmill is not hard at all. In fact it was almost hard for me to walk that slow. They added some speed, but as soon as I felt like it was too much they turned it down. I was only on liquids the day prior to my surgery date and of course for the first 2 weeks after my banding, but I didn't have any trouble. I drank high protein shakes and broth type soups as well as water. I wish you all the best and feel confident you will do great. Joanie :sneaky:)

Anyone go to Dr. Bono, Hazleton, PA

My sister sees Dr. Bono. She actually had her banding done in Texas, but living in Pa she had no choice but to find a dr up there. She seems to like him and his office people. Good luck, Joanie :sneaky:)

:sneaky: Way to go, glad to have ya'll here. I can't believe how much better I feel since my banding. My only regret is waiting so long. Best of luck on your journey! Joanie :mad2:)

    Self Sabotage- Are you guilty?

This article and the many replies were so very informative. I too have been guilty of the whole self sabotage thing. I am almost 3yrs out and have just this week finally past the 100lb mark with only 9lbs to go to my goal, although I don't really think that goal is as important to me as it once was. I get stuck alot and have to throw up more than I should, but have only myself to blame. I sometimes feel like I haven't learned a damned thing about my eating habits in almost 3 yrs. Thanks for being there for all of us! Joanie :sneaky:)
