    Before and after (well during)

Thank you so much!! A typical day would look like this: Breakfast: A lot of the time I skip Breakfast which is really bad but when I do eat it I have a piece of fruit or 1 boiled egg. Lunch: Shaved chicken or a can of tuna Dinner: Lasagna or chicken/beef/lamb curry Snack: Bowl of steamed veggies I love to cook and try new meals, also trying healthy versions of things. I made a healthy nachos the other day and boyfriend and I both loved it. As for exercise I'm training for a 14km run at the moment so I try to run 3 times a week. I also have a gym membership but I haven't been going :/ I need to start doing weights to tone up because as you can see my thighs and tummy are flabby. When I'm bored or have nothing to do I will just make up a circuit, usually something like: 1 min plank 50 squats 20 push ups 30 leg lifts 30 star jumps And repeat Have you had your surgery?

    Do you exercise?

Hello First of all don't be discouraged by the walking video!! We all have to start somewhere and if you give up after the first go you will never get any better!! When I started this journey it was hard for me to exercise, after walking for a minute or two I would be seriously puffed out. Now I can run non stop for 3km. I have a long way to go as I'm doing a 14km but I'm improving and that's the most important thing. If you find it hard to walk I would suggest swimming. It's great exercise and it doesn't put stress on the joints. Aqua aerobics is also really fun. Exercise is really important and shouldn't be ignored. Just because you have surgery it doesn't mean you don't have to exercise because you do!!!
  4. Oh my gosh you look so handsome!
  5. My doctor said 4 weeks out, its best to check with yours. I had a drink at 4 weeks out and I was fine, I get drunk a lot quicker though so be careful!!
  6. Wow... I'm speechless!! You look amazing
  7. Yes mine are barely noticeable. I have one more I couldn't get a good shot of (under the bust) but it is also very small and is covered by my bra most of the time anyway
  8. Here are mine. Don't mind the stretch marks!!! I'm 4 months out
  9. Mine was $20,000 that's here in Australia. I payed $5000 out of pocket and insurance covered the rest. It's crazy how expensive it is!!
  10. I didn't feel like going out for about 3-4 weeks after surgery. Everyone is different though

    Soo mad!

I don't know what a pcp is, a general doctor maybe? Anyway I would get a new one. It's your decision to make and you did what she asked, thinking that she was going to help you on your journey and now she wants you to not have the surgery at all?? Is it easy to get a new pcp? I know you've been seeing her for many years so you might not want to get a new one but it could help
  16. Well done you look incredible. I don't mean to make this about me but I just had an omg moment. I was looking at your after picture and thinking about how good you look then I realised... We are the same weight! So I must look ok too!! Hahahah
  17. Hi everyone. Just wondering if anyone knows how to tell if their tummies are fat or loose skin? Im 20 years old and started at 247lbs now I'm 166lbs and I have about 22lbs to lose. Anyway I still have a sort of bulging stomach and I'm hoping its fat so I can lose it. Any tips appreciated

    food funerals

I'm 5 months post op and I remember before I started the liver shrinking liquid diet my boyfriend and I went out for a "last meal" of a thick juicy steak and sweet potato (my favorite). It wasn't really a last meal considering I have had steak post op and I could have sweet potato whenever I wanted. I think it's fun to do a last meal or food funeral but don't go overboard and most importantly DON'T TAKE IT TOO SERIOUSLY!! The food your eating you can eat post op too (probably, unless your eating McDonald's or other crap) so just have fun with it and keep it light hearted

    So, how happy are you?

I would say on average over the last few months would be 8/10 which is incredible for me as I've suffered severe depression since childhood. Never been so happy and I don't want this to change!

I don't have to LIE anymore!

I'm glad in Australia we don't have height or weight or any other information really on our license. I would probably lie too though hahah
  21. I have never been asked by random people if I was pregnant but before any medical procedure I've ever had they always ask me. Even when I was 120lbs and getting my wisdom teeth out when I was in school. So if its a medical person asking you don't feel bad, they ask everyone it's part of their job to make sure everything stays safe
