  1. Sucess story.............Hello everyone I want to tell me story..I was told I had pcos since I was 18, im now 30. Me and my hisband have been trying to have baby for over 9 years with no luck. I took clomid ( fertility drug) and went to several specialist. I got married when I weight 145 and years later got to 200. It may not seem like much but im short 5'1. I only had one period per year which was not normal. My pcos symtoms were awful. Well in the last five years I had three failed IVF's ( artificial insimination ) with no luck at at...... my doc did say my over weight was a factor. Well to make things worse I also had a tube blocked. My little chances were cut down to 50% . I decided to have the sleeve last year in Oct 02 2012. Im currently 9months post op. After the surgery I hardly had any sex.....maybe like three times after six months post op. In April I had lost 55 lb, I was down to my old self when I first got married. That month I got pregnant. How, I have no clue ,pure miracle. Im currently 14 weeks pregnant and feeling great. I had also started taking metformin during that time. Although I would forget for days to take it. I think I took it for like a month or so.

  2. I am 5'1 and my highest weight was 200. During my pre op diet of two weeks i only lost like 7 lb :( .weight of surgery was 193 and im currently 6 weeks post op. My current weight is 172. Down 28lb. I feel like im loosing slow but its ok cuz it will help with lose skin.

Well ladies just an update.... on jan 2, I will be exactly 3 months post op and my current weight is 158lb. 42 lb in three minths with no exercise is not bad at all.

  3. Hey I'm doing well' date=' weight loss has been slower than expected but I haven't been as active as I should be. The cramps and fullness will go aways at this time I don't even feel like I had anything done:) one day at a time![/quote']

What r ur meals like. I have ran out of ideas. Plus i dont do shakes anymore and need more ideas to make my Protein goal. Im still on soft foods. I am also loosing very slowly, its been about two weeks now since i have lost anything

  4. I was sleeved on oct 2 which makes me 4 weeks post op, today I tried yoga at the gym and let me tell you it's was really hard. It was also kind of embarrassing because my body could not move, stretch, and bend like the rest. My gut was in the way and could not even hold a balance. However, I think my stomach might be heals because nothing hurt, I'm just relieved I can start my new life and try new things.

  5. I know exactly what pain your talking anout. It feels like someone stabed you in the stomach also there is a real burning sensation. I had mine like 5 days poat op. First days were ok but on the fifth day getting off the bed i felt an awful pain. The weird thing is that it only hurt when i moved certain ways like getting up or leaning forward. I swore i thought this type if pain would last weeks to heal. For the next couple of days i sat in the couch and did not move from there. A week later the pain just stopped. Try this lay on your back and touch your stomach to see if you feel the pain. If you dont than its probably one of the staples being pulled. Its not dangerous but it hurts like hell. I promise it will go away.

  6. Three weeks post op and i started on soft foods. You ladies were not wrong, 1/2 a cup of cottage cheese takes forever to eat. I feel like i juat ate two double cheeseburgers. Also far my overall weight loss is 23lb. Doea anybody know where i can get some Protein pudding?

    Pre op. 200

    SD. 190

    1st week. 185

    2nd week. 180

    3rd week. 177

Have not exercised at all, not even walked but that is about to change today.

  7. I dont get it i thought this place was a support forum. Anybody who has had a sleeve would know that there is nothing easy about it. I really think that a sleeve.surgery like a band should not be reserved for obese people only. Anybody that says they are doing this procesure for health reasons only is a lie. The risks of WLS are no different than a boob job or a Tummy Tuck. Ladies we must come to terms that in a couple of years this procedure will be available to a bigger market. Remember ladies the sleeve will teach you to eat healthier. We live in a time where america does not know what health eating is. Supermodel i hope you dont get discourage.

  8. I too have what is considered lower BMI 5'51/2 wt 195# with hx of high cholesterol and strong family hx of diabetes and cardiac dz. I have been following this site for quite a while hoping to find someone like me. The physician I chose is local and I will be paying cash since don't meet insurance requirements. He reconfirmed with me why wait until I reach morbid obesity with multiple co-morbidities. scheduled for nov 1 so now really starting to doubt my decision. I know this is just part of the reality and that everyone has these feelings. Just can't wait til it's over!

Im also 5'1 weighed 190 on surgery day. Im currently 2 weeks post and current weight is 180. Most of my weight is on my chest and tummy. I choose to do the surgery now and not weight till i was really obese. The best part is my surgery was aproved my insurance. Best decision i ever made. I hope to live a long and healthy life. Best of luck
