  1. It's never too early to develop good habits. My nemesis, the elliptical, have been going head to head again and I will be victorious!! Amanda Rae
  2. I will be getting sleeved by Dr. Lopez on 3/18. My BMI is high too. 57, although I'm working it... Amanda Rae
  3. Yeah March 18th with Dr. Lopez. Nerves and worries are simmering beneath the surface. Amanda Rae
  4. Really struggling to regain my peaceful easy feeling. Amanda Rae
  5. I have a tattoo on the back of my shoulder. I do not carry my weight in my upper body... Curious George and his balloons shouldn't sink too much, will they? Amanda Rae
  6. No I haven't. I've tried EAS. Idealshape. Rightsize. My fave is Idealshape b/c it is well balanced but it is pricey. I mix them with unsweetened vanilla almond milk. Amanda Rae
  7. Ladies and gentlemen... Government at work. Sigh... Amanda Rae
  8. I had insomnia last night. Had just wrapped up a convo regarding sleep apnea and anesthesia risks with an untested preop WLS buddy. Also, I recently had an incident where I had dozed off sans cpap and had an apnea moment that startled me awake... Needless to say it was like a worm in my brain that grew and dug in... A recipe for a perfect storm of worry... And I panicked... Fortunately I have all of you here, and ALM coordinator, Janese, was online late last night. I messaged her my worries and her response was immediate. And reassuring. Just like all of you. Thanx again. Amanda Rae
  9. It is kind of ironic, one complaining that residents of a Spanish speaking country speak primarily Spanish. We Americans are know for being a bit ethnocentric... I don't think I've seen a lot of complaints about the language barrier on this forum. Mostly just observations and a " FYI" shout out. Which is good so we are more prepared and our expectations are level... I will get a translator app too just in case. Work on my Spanish, cuz if ya don't use, ya lose it. And hope for the best... Amanda Rae
  10. When in March? I'm booked with Dr. Lopez for 3/18 in TJ. They both use the same hospital and hotel. Amanda Rae
  11. Also, thanx to those who commented that have sleep apnea too. It helped hearing from everyone. Amanda Rae
  12. It's all so overwhelming... Most of the time I'm confident about this... But sometimes... Ya know? Amanda Rae
  13. Now that I've made my deposit, secured my plane tickets, applied for my passport, and started my preop diet... I'm freaking out. I'm trying to talk myself down but I'm feeling overwhelmed. I'm scared. I have sleep apnea, which I've disclosed, but I'm terrified it won't be handled properly. That I will suffocate under the anesthesia. That they will forget to put my cpap on me in recovery. That I will die or have brain damage. The anxiety is keeping me awake at night. I am so overwhelmed. Amanda Rae
