  1. I have a BMI of 57 and I'm using Dr. Lopez/Dr. Osuna with A Lighter Me. They are a husband/wife bariatric surgical team. The main reason I chose Dr. Lopez is because he specializes in high BMI patients which carry a higher risk. I am, however, doing my preop diet now in the hopes of lowering my weight/BMI/risk. And the high BMI charge. Amanda Rae

  6. Chemical vs. Mental? I think both sides are spot on. Forced portion control. Chemical changes affecting physical hunger and our metabolic rate. But it doesn't cure food addiction or "head hunger". That's on us to address and overcome. Amanda Rae

  10. I dreamt that I went to Mx for my surgery. That all the commonly used surgeons were there to perform my surgery. My surgery went well and I had no leaks. After I was released to the hotel I tried drinking diet Pepsi and started to panic. I couldn't find the surgeons. Only other WLS patients telling me I screwed up. Then I woke up. Sigh... Amanda Rae
