  1. I can only PM a "friend" from the app.
  2. My high weight at the 1st of the year was 405lbs. My surgery was on 3/18/13. I'm at 296lbs.
  3. When AOL was Internet king and Windows 95 was cutting edge I was learning online lingo. I kept trying to pronounce ROTFLMAO and its kindred. *sigh*
  4. How about a "sigh" option? I'd use that one a lot.
  5. It's not the prettiest dish I've ever made but its tasty and filling. Well balanced. I've included MFP nutritional info as it calculated for me sans Pasta. I made it as "serves 8" and could eat about a half-ish serving over an hour and a half.
  6. So yummy. So easy. 1/2 Spanish Onion, chopped or diced 4 pieces of garlic, chopped or diced 2 tbls olive oil or unsalted butter (your preference) Saute onion and garlic in large deep pan w/ olive oil or butter until golden brown Add 1 green and 1 red bell pepper, sliced into thumb sized chunks Stir continually Add approx 1 lb of Brussels Sprouts, stem removed and halved. Add any leaves that fall off too Add 1 package skinless tukey smoked sausage, sliced... Cont to stir until veggies and sausage are browned. Set aside 3 boneless skinless chicken breast, cubed, and tossed in 4 TBLS of flour, a teaspoon of salt and teaspoon of pepper 2 tbls of olive oil or unsalted butter (your preference) in a separate pan Added breaded chicked and cooked until golden brown Add chicken to veggie/sausage pan scraping along any breading that stuck to the pan Put collective mixture back on the heat Add 1 can of reduced sodium chicken broth Add 1.5 - 2 cups of dry white wine Stir. Cover. Simmer on low-med heat until wine reduces, and cooks out the alcohol, the veggies are tender, and the chicken in cooked through Serve over low carb angel hair Pasta
  7. I agree. I take the "like" option as an opportunity for a show of solidarity.
  8. I've been completely transparent about having WLS.
  9. Hardly any shedding this morning. The color is not as "vibrant" as I'd hoped. Idk if its a bad batch or my hair is not receptive to the change....
  10. Heavier shedding than usual but not the heaviest it's been. Overall I'm calling it a success.
  11. I'm taking the leap and coloring my hair! Hopefully no more shedding.
  12. The hospital may be a teaching hospital which would explain for the young-ish staff. I believe Almater is a teaching hospital as well.
  13. Your secret is safe with me.
  14. I want to join the challenge!!! Can I include the elliptical distance along with walking, hiking, biking, and treadmill?
  15. I would walk 500 hundred miles and I would walk 500 more.....
  16. I've been shedding for about a month. Some days heavier than others. I really want to color my hair, time to trade my Summer color for an Autumn color but I'm nervous about how coloring it will effect my shedding.
  17. I've seen so many say that nuts are a slider... I can eat them without any sliming or discomfort but they fill me up FAST!!!
  18. Special K cracker chips, unless I add hummus... Fresh fruit and fresh veggies (hooray!!!). Most everything else lands like a ton of bricks.
  19. My highest weight was 405 lbs and I still have a ways to go before I hit goal, my current weight is 298 lbs... Buuuuuuuut..... I'm thinking about plastics and planning accordingly now. I will definitely need tummy, thighs, arms, and breasts nipped and tucked. Maybe the double chin. Anyone know how much can safely be done at once? I don't want to do too much at once but I don't want to live in a constant surgery/recovery state of mind. Tummy, thighs, and arms are my biggest priority. They will be the ugliest and "I Can't Believe They're Not Mine" bras will pick up the slack for awhile. All feedback, especially personal experiences, very welcome. I may be a "medical tourist" again for this.
  20. WW leaders have to be members and have worked the program to run meetings. It seems like common sense to me... Or is common sense an oxymoron nowadays?
