  1. Your success is awesome and you look very happy and healthy. Amazing progress which is very evident. Good for you!
  2. I love Skinny Cow salted caramel and pretzel or cookie dough ice cream bars. Sooooooo good.
  3. BTB, you're half the man you used to be!!!
  4. Oddly enough rice doesn't "hurt". I fill up fast, but no pain like Pasta. Pasta lands like a brick, instant discomfort.
  5. I'm trying to think of it as a blessing. I may try the Quest pasta or zucchini pasta.
  6. I'm afraid to try to eat it. I'm afraid of sliming or throwing up. I'm afraid of pain. I'm afraid it will go down easy and my food addict brain will pounce. Pasta hurts. Low carb. Whole grain. Regular. One to two bites and it hurts. I suspect bread dull beg the same. The closest I've come to bread is a low carb tortilla. It takes me 45 minutes to finish it when I make my Breakfast wrap.
  7. I developed optic neuritis over a year ago in my right eye. It is an indicator of MS. So far no signs of MS but that possibility and my now increased chance of developing it prompted me to get my weight under control. I knew at 400+ lbs I'd be wheelchair bound in no time if things got bad. I hope I never have to find out, but I'm glad I took control of my situation either way.
  8. Sometimes I actually want to cry when I get full after 4 - 5 bites. I don't even get to get warmed up b4 I burn out.
  9. Stews and chili recipes are my favorite now.
  10. I blended mine with ice right away. When I graduated to full liquids I added unsweetened almond milk to my icy blend. The ice allowed me to safely "chew" which helped my head hunger.
  11. Best of luck to you. Having a great support system makes such a difference. My hubby and family were cautiously supportive too. Mx threw them for a loop. My mom went with me and she was taken aback in a positive way with my surgical team and everything else at Almater.
  12. It is really yummy and quick. I'm a fan. I mentioned on MFP that when I get a Wake Up Wrap from Dunkin Donuts, which is comparable, it slides and I only takes 10-15 minutes to eat. When I make my wrap it takes about 45 minutes.... General consensus is it due to the white flour tortilla they use vs me using a whole grain tortilla.
  13. This article has a bit more info and whatnot. Beware of the comments tho. They are, as usual, brutal and full of a bad fattitude. http://www.cnn.com/2013/09/20/living/parents-2-year-old-weight-loss-surgery/index.html?hpt=hp_bn11
  14. Just read this article on Yahoo... I cannot imagine WLS on one that young. I was really taken aback by the mom who was (is?) getting sleeved with her teen in Mx. http://health.yahoo.net/articles/obesity/obese-2-year-old-gets-weight-loss-surgery It says he had surgery in 2010 and is now at a healthy weight/BMI with sleep apnea resolved.
  15. I brought Unjury chicken broth powder. Such a life saver with all my flight delays and the blizzard in Denver.
