  1. That super hungry feeling could also be acids. An prevecid (or other brand) will help that if they gave those to you. Glad you all did well.
  2. Tomorrow, my son and I have our psych evals. The 567 question questionnaire was such fun and only took three days to finish! My son (22) and his friends had a lot of fun with it. I'll post the story of the visit to the shrink after our appointment tomorrow.
  3. Hey, Tatylish. I'm from CT although I now live in Nevada. Where are you in CT?
  4. My doctor and his group believe that a leak that is discovered after the 4th week is really one they just never found earlier. By the 4th week the stomach should be closed.
  5. Never mind catastrophe, but what about when we are old and need help with meds and such. Can you see yourself taking all the extra supplements when you are 80. Will you remember to? Will they make sure you get them in the nursing home? Those were some of my thoughts.
  6. Hey, Gettingthere, where are you located?
  7. Thanks, Tstorm, but my goodness, 12 months?! Sometimes I think they (insurance companies) do that hoping we'll give up and go away. Good luck to you too.
  8. Hope you get a treat instead of a trick!! Sorry...had to say it
  9. So my son and I had our first visit with the surgeon today. It went very well and we already have most of our "hoop jumping" scheduled during the next two weeks. I went on record as weighing 265, 5'5" and my son is 6'6", 429. We don't have to do a cardiac test but we do need the psych eval, the nutrition eval, RMR and H-pylori tests, and we will have upper GIs as opposed to the other test for checking our insides. We have to have a letter of approval from our PCP and a record of five years of weigh-ins in the doctors office . Bid all goes according to plan, we could have our surgeries in mid to late December. We are shooting for this year because our insurance deductibles have been met and next year will bring inevitable changes. Sthanks for reading and cheers to all of us starting the journey, on the journey, or reaching their destination! Keep posting!
  10. Ok, ok, I have to add my WOWS and congrats, as well. You've done amazingly. But I have to add for the ladies...men have it all over us in the weight loosing department, so don't expect similar results. I'm not diminishing your efforts, which had to be great or you would not have been so successful. Ya dun good!!
  11. Best wishes for tomorrow and all the rest of your days!
  12. You poor thing. You do need to see someone. Any WLS support groups you can go to? Sometimes just getting out there and seeing the world still goes on can be a good thing. Do whatever you can to feel better (except food!). Keep posting.
