  1. Get you some gas-x and tell dude he gonna have to go in the next room with that food. You've only been out of the hospital a few days it will get better every day. sip something every 10-15 minutes and when he eats you go outside and take a walk. you will be amazed at how much it improves the gas. this is not hell. hell is being trapped in a body that holds you back from being the person you want to be. this is like purchasing a one way ticket on a crappy bus out of hell. sure the journey will not be easy or comfortable and will suck like hell but each pound down gets you closer to your goal and baaaaby when you get there you will enjoy it. keep your eyes on the prize. he flaunts his food today you flaunt your body tomorrow!

    I LOVE YOUR LIFE

  2. I'm 5 days post Op, I can barely get anything down, I have all these Premier Protein drinks I cant drink, I have gas pain and can't fart and My husband keeps eating the things I like In front of me.

I just want a small bowl of Lucky Charms mannnnnn. This is Hell, it's a absolutely terrible experience and I wish I never got this stupid sleeve.

  3. I was never given an actual ratio of Protein to carbs' date=' but I was told to try to stay within 60-70 grams of Protein daily if possible. Right now, protein and Water are the two most important things for you. You're going to want to avoid refined carbs - at least for a time while you're in the losing phase. What you should be eating right now is anywhere from 2-3 oz of a protein based food (meat, fish, cheese, etc.). Lean protein has a higher protein count than fatty protein, so you're going to want chicken, lean beef, lean pork, etc.

A menu example (for when you're on full solids)

Breakfast - one egg scrambled with 1 oz cheese

    snack - 1/4 C greek yogurt

lunch - 6 boiled shrimp with 1/4 C steamed veggies (you might not be able to eat all that)

    snack - 1-2 oz cheese,

dinner - 2 oz grilled meat, 1/4 C steamed veggies (you might not be able to eat it all)

For right now, what stage of eating are you on? Are you on full liquids, pureed or soft foods? Let me know and I can help with a bit of a road map to get you started. :-)[/quote']

Right now I'm on full liquids

  4. Jennrus, I notice that your Pre-Op weight and your goal weight are the same as mine. I'm 5'0 are u also in this height range?

If you have before and after pics, would u mind sharing them? I'm only asking because I'm very excited and eager to see what i'll look like when I'm small enough to actually cross my legs again.

:-) Congrats on your accomplishment. It's crazy that something so small, (for others) is a huge deal for us.
