1. Ugh I feel like crap today! I keep taking my temperature because I feel like I'm hot, like I'm running a fever. Thermometer keeps saying 98.6. I have a slight headache too. I'm being so paranoid about complications, so I'm blowing this little headache out of proportion. I'm just going to take some Tylenol and keep drinking. Post op Dr appointment tomorrow, he'll set my mind straight
2. Well a helicopter did crash on the roof!
3. I know! It was horrible. I didn't know how to stop it lol. I was like sorry!
4. I went to see Gravity last week, 4 days after surgery, and my stomach was talking so loud the people in front of me kept turning around to look at me!
5. You need to call your surgeon or a nurse, asap. If the pain meds you were sent home with aren't working and you are still really uncomfortable, then you need to make sure something else isn't going on. Call today
6. Getting my drain out was a big relief, a lot of pressure removed from my stomach. It feels better when it's out, I promise!
7. Starting weight:291 Halloween goal weight:265 Last week:279 This week:271 Only one week out from surgery, lost 8 pounds. I'll take it!
8. Yay anniversary! I feel like I did before my surgery. A little tired, but then I've got chronic thyroid issues. I even slept on my stomach last night!
9. If you don't count the soup I've been eating, I'm only getting 35 oz now too. Tomorrow I'm going to measure out 5 oz at a time and try to drink that every hour I'm awake, except the 3 times I'm supposed to be eating. Hopefully that'll work
10. I'm sleeping pretty well. Before surgery, I was drinking a hundred ounces of water per day. My bladder always woke me up at 330,and it still is. So I'm used to getting up in the middle of the night. I do have to nap in the daytime, about 4pm every day so far I just crash
11. At least your incision is above your belly button, they did mine inside! That's most painful incision so far
12. Finally going home! They took my jp drain out a few minutes ago, and it was so gross! There was 2-3 inches of ribbed white plastic on the end of it. Felt really weird coming out. Glad to be going home for sure. Hope everyone else is doing well
13. So this is my stomach! Old and new, right before they took the old part out. I had to bug everyone for a picture, but I'm nosy and wanted to see lol
14. I'm surprised I haven't had many gas pains. I've had 3 tiny cramps, followed by 3 tiny burps and that's it. No chest pain or anything like that, like I read some people had. I have my heating pad ready just in case though
15. Thank you! It went well. Ready to go home already!! And come on people, if I can type from the hospital you can take a second out and report! Let's keep it going
16. Surgery went well. Feeling pretty good, napping on and off and sucking on a sponge. Hope everyone else feels good too!
17. I'll have to report today, because it's surgery day! 279.4!
18. Alright people, it's go time! Good luck, I'll be seeing you on the other side!
