    Best of luck to everyone who got sleeved today!! I had my pre-op appointment this morning and I'm getting sleeved at 10:30 am on Monday the 18th!! I'm very nervous and very excited! Best of luck to all!!!

    Attention February 2013 Sleeve Buddies!

    I did soooo well the first week! No cheating! Then Sunday came a round and I had a little tiny bit of food, and then again on Monday....and today. Bah....I've said it time and again, we are responsible for what we put in our mouths! I'm so disappointed in myself, but I can't change the past! I have to move forward and do the right thing from now on!! I know it's hard, but we can all succeed!

    Hey all! I'm sorry for those of you that i have not sent an invite to for the February 2013 Sleevers group! i have been super busy, and now I have just had 4 teeth cut out by an oral surgeon so I am just taking it easy. There is a way to join the group without me sending you an invite. if you are using VST from your computer there is a tab on your main screen that says "Commuinity" then click the tab that says "Social Groups" a box that is titled "Group Search" will be on the right side and then where it says "Group Name:" you will put in "February 2013 Sleevers". after that there will be a rectangular black icon that says "Join Group" on the right side of the page. click that and you are good to go! Once again, I'm sorry for not being able to keep up with everyone, I just have not had the time or the energy lately! Best of luck to everyone getting their sleeve done this week!!!

  6. Oh man...I start my 2 week liquid diet tomorrow, and I am already an unhappy camper!! I just keep trying to tell myself "mind over matter" but I happen to have quite a great amount of "matter" that is screaming "EAT SOME FREAKIN' PIZZA!!!!!!!" Any advice or suggestions are welcome!!!!

    February Sleevers

    Tomorrow makes day 3 for me and it hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be so far...I am a total drama queen and I expected I would have broken down and cried like a baby by now, but I'm doing ok! I did tear up this morning because I work at a hotel and they had bacon at breakfast and they were all raving about it and it made me so sad and frustrated...but I reminded myself that I am doing this for a reason! It's frustrating to have food all around you and not be able to eat any of it, but I know you can do it! Trust me, if I can, anyone can!!! I feel like I'm finally learning self control, and in all honesty it feels really good to be proud of myself for saying no to things I shouldn't eat! Best of luck!!!

    Tomorrow makes day 3 for me so I'm hardly an expert, but I have found that since I am doing 3 meal replacement protein shakes a day and then can have all the clear liquids I want including water, low sodium broth, sugar free jello & popsicles, and the drink mixes that you add yo your water ( like Wyler's under 5 calories), that the later I wait in the morning to eat the fuller I am for the rest of the day. If I eat ( and I use the term very loosely) my first shake around 6 or 7 then I find myself absolutely ravenous by 9 or so and sometimes I get to the point when my stomach starts to toss and turn and it makes me sick because it is empty! I have found that if I just drink water or unsweet tea until about 9 or 10 and then have my first shake, I stay fuller longer and make it until about 3 or so until I have the 2nd shake...in between if I start to feel a little empty I will eat a cup of jello or something like that...I know everyone's body is different, but that is what is working for me! Hope you find something that will work for you!!!

    funny little story of my first pre-op liquid diet day: I work at a hotel (2 actually), but at this one, I had to bake cookies for the afternoon and oh man....I love me some soft gooey chocolate chip cookies!! I can't stand crunchy or crispy cookies....so I WAY over-baked them on purpose until they were no longer appetizing to me! LOL!

    Contact your doc for the liquid diet guidelines...that is the best way to find out for sure! I'm on 3 shakes a day and broth, sugar free jello, and sugar free popsicles, as well as water, crystal light, any water additives that are under 5 calories....I can have unsweet tea with splenda...there are options, but every doc is different!

I have been struggling with this since I found out I would not be sleeved until the new year...My Nutritionist said that we should avoid the "Last Supper" mentality but i keep thinking that this is going to be my last holiday season to enjoy the food the way I always have. Conversly, I also feel that I should be preparing for what I call "The New Normal" Our new way of eating is going to be the norm for us and it really does no good for us to have the mentality that we are being deprived. I guest I just have to find a good balance...boy is it ever hard! What are your thoughts??

    My best friends are Jillian lovers....I hate her. Like others have said, it's not the best workout for the "fluffier" folks, but I was able to do a slightly modified version. still hate her....she makes me want to put my head through the tv. It's not the workout itself, she just annoys me. She tries to hard to be a badbooty...I will go for forced gaity over forced toughness any day! I guess that is all a matter of preference. I do have a Denise Austin dance dvd that I like...she's chipperly annoying but the workout is fun! I also like Crunch Fat Burning Pilates, it's standing pilates so there isn't a whole lot of up and down. The most important thing is to find something that fits you! Even if it's Richard Simmons "Sweatin' to the Oldies"...I'd still take him over Jillian...bring it on sweet cheeks!

    Greys Anatomy!

    I literally just picked it up this summer and started watching...I have almost finished seasons 1-8 on Netflix then I'm gonna start on 9...iv'e seen one or two epsiodes from that season, but I decided to not put the cart before the horse, and wait!
