On this Thanksgiving, so very thankful for my beautiful daughter. I'm also thankful for my VSG and that I am on my road to health. As of this week I have lost 1/3 of the weight I need to lose. I'm feeling fantastic! So much more energy and I can't remember the last time I woke up catching my breath (sleep apnea is going away). So happy to be on this road!

Went to Panera with my daughter today, first time since I've been sleeved. I realized I can do this . . . I can eat only the inside of the egg souffle and be satisfied, I don't need that croissant-ish crust and the carbs. I don''t need to eat half my daughter's bagel too. Life is good!

Finally went to get some new pants and jeans. Was wearing a size 26, now fit in a size 22! Woohoo!

First day of pureed foods after 4+ weeks on pre- and post-op liquid diet. Pureed ham salad - so delicious!

Day before surgery. Made it through 9 days liquid diet - only "cheating" by eating a bite of my daughter's apple and taking a swig of pickle juice last night. Coloring the grey out of my hair today, making final preparations for my daughter and my sister who will be coming to help out later this week. Can't wait for tomorrow!
