  9. ohh bummer! Rest well, hope those spasms stop ASAP!
  10. I'm two months away from my surgery date. I'm still eating like I usually do, but am watching the scale as I don't want to gain anymore and make it harder on myself to lose the required amount of weight during my pre-op diet. I scheduled surgery way back in Oct. for Feb....gave my weight at the time, so if I don't arrive at the hospital in Feb. having lost 5% from that starting point, my surgery could be cancelled. Still though, I am acutely aware when eating of how things will change once I'm sleeved...I'm mentally checking off things I won't be able to continue...drinking with my meals, taking big bites (the kind that hurt going down!), gulping, eating super fast, cleaning my plate, having large quantities, and so on. This has changed my habits a little already in that I am more mindful of at least HOW I'm eating. Still not changing much WHAT I'm eating....working on that though! Getting our heads in the right place is the biggest part of this process I do believe Sorry...that was kinda rambling.....but YES! I have been having "last meals"..or at least plan on not visiting them again for a good while down the road after surgery!
  11. How cute! Made me chuckle, thanks
  12. Hmmmm...never thought about not being "cuddly" anymore!
  13. yes...that is a good thing. You don't want to have fat attached to your organs, very unhealthy
  14. Hey Repoman..great job on your weightloss! I couldn't see your pics though! LOL
  15. Yes, but do we swallow it? Or apply it topically?? Could do double duty..I like the "messy" look
  16. I hear you there...when I went to my PCP to discuss surgery the nurse who checked me in said, "But...you're not that big!" I snorted and replied, "I'm MORBIDLY OBESE!!" I'm only 5'1 and all the years of seeing this doc he has been after me to get weight off, says it will help with my asthma, BP, stress incontinence, ect. but not once did he bring up surgery. For years and years he just chastised me for being overweight. Even with a 35 lb loss one year, it was "Well, you still need to lose more" DUH! Once I left the office after telling him I was going to self pay for my surgery (exclusion on my insurance) was the first time he ever diagnosed me as "obese"!! HUH?? Maybe if I could have gotten that diagnosis 15 years ago I could have already had surgery and today be a happier, healthier person. O well...c'est la vie!
  17. I'm still pre-op and having food dreams
  18. CASH...to put toward my surgery fund! Bah humbug!
  19. Yikes! Hip pain AFTER losing weight?? I already have it, was hoping to get away from it after surgery. Guess my chiropractor is going to LOVE me next year! $$$$
  20. Hi Ginny! I'm not scheduled to be sleeved until Feb 18th but my current weight is 219. I'll be happy with any loss, even if it's slow. I've been maintaining ~220 for the last 10-15 years, hope to get to and maintain a much lower weight!
  21. Loved your surprises! Thanks for sharing
  22. Hello everyone...just found this article on Bariatric times' web site, thought it was interesting and was furiously taking notes.
