Is. Dr. Aceves really THAT great?

To any that dismiss or look down on those that choose a lower cost surgeon because their health was work the price- just think, its the same way many Americans think about you going to MX at all to have surgery instead of paying extra in the good old USA. Remember, cost don't equal quality.
  2. There are too many other doctors with no shady dealings in MX. It is up to others if they will take the chance but I wouldn't risk it.

    Asthma And Anesthesia

My sister just got out of surgery and had an asthma flare up due to anesthesia. Her doc said not to worry. They'll get it under control. I'm a bit worried how she is handling it because she is a worrier and may panic. Can't see her cause she still in recovery.

    Paying For Surgery

After 2012 Medicaid will no longer be offering WLS. My sister BFF is on disability therefore also receives Medicaid. Her doctor been trying to get her to get gastric bypass (The sleeve is not approved my Medicaid, at least not in TX) for the past few yrs. The doc said this is the last yr Medicaid will pay for WLS.
  6. Thank you so much for sharing this information with us. Those of us that plan on going to MX for surgery need to be extra deligent when it come to researching these doctors. Being scammed or butchered is my biggest fear. Here I am beating myself up for being so cautious and not choosing a doctor. Now I'm glad I'm being through in researching surgeons.

    Ladies What Is Your Type?

At my lowest weight, 138 and highest weight, 246, my shape remain a pear. Wide Hips Big Butt Big Thighs Tiny waist (Still have one being fat) Flat Tummy (When I weighted less) Big Boobs (Huge Now) Slender Shoulders Average Arms ( Huge Now) Skinny Neck (Wider A bit now) Thin Face (Full Face currently) I'm 5'6 and my body parts seem to change with my weight except my bottom half. Abvoe my waist I had looked straved but below my wide wide hips could knock walls down in a hallway! I'll wore an extra small shirt but pants remain 12/14. It made me feel fat than and now I know what that really look like. Ugh just talking makes me more desperate to find a sergon and get it over with. To wash away these last three years of me being obese. Just writing that word freak me out. It was not long ago I even acknowledge that I was. Now the time to go back to Real Curves.

    African American Sleevers

I understand where you are coming from. On the surface it come off racist. Usually participating in something that is color or ethnicity oriented is not for me. So I can only explain why I subscribe to this thread as a black person. The first reason to see if anyone post before and after pictures. Black women for the most part are build different than other races. Wide hips and big butts is common. I have a pear shape, which I HATE, and wanted to look at women with my stats to see how they look at certain weights. Than is the hair thing. A lot of concern to most black women. While I wasn't worried because I know hair loss will happen I just wanted to see if there is a difference. So far, in my opinion, its not. It's really a curiosity thing rather than anything else for me but MAINLY a body type interest. I visit the Austrailian thread and the Latino one too even though I'm a American and not Hispanic. They both have interesting topics to me. On another note whites are the majority so most mainstream things are geared toward them in mind. That's why, IMO, they don't have need for subgroups like minorities. Sent from my iPod touch using VST
