  1. Perhaps, because getting hungry at the mall was never an issue before, it just didn't occur to him that you would find it to be insensitive this time.

I realise it p'd you off, but I think you should give him a break. It would be nice if our families jumped on our bandwagon, but it's not realistic.

  2. Hello Everyone' date='

I had my surgery on November 12th. I am very glad I found this page. It's nice to know I'm not the only one dealing with these issues. I AM NOT ALONE!! LOL! Sometimes it's hard to hear the advice of people who actually have no clue what you are going through. I'm still having pain in my right side. It's not gas, it's kind of like I've been punched in the stomach. Is anyone else having this pain still? I have also stalled. I lost 18 pound in 9 days and then 2 in the last two weeks. Been really discouraged but I have not been eating enough or getting in enough liquids. I feel like I can do either or not both. I really don't like eating now. It seems like such a chore. I guess this is a good thing.[/quote']

I can't help much with the right side pain, but I've gone off food too. It HAS become a chore. I hope that changes - not so that I get hungry, but can enjoy food.

  3. Just checking in....I started soft foods this week and so far so good! I definitely feel when I'm getting full and nothing has made me sick yet. I would say I've been a "slow" loser but my husband out together this collage and I can totally see a huge difference in my face so if anyone else is worried about slow losing' date=' maybe try this for a little encouragement.

Hope everyone else is doing good!!!

Big difference. You look great :)

  4. I had 4 days with no scale movement, but it also coincided with my period, so it could have been that too. But this morning I had dropped 0.5kg.

But I've also found I have to force myself to eat the last couple of days. Nothing appeals and I'd rather eat nothing. Very peculiar ;) but I stick to my routine and eat every few hours anyway

  5. I was way to out of it day of surgery

to even notice if anyone was there, day 2 I slept and loved it (don't get a lot of sleep at home), day 3 husband and kids came to visit. That was nice and even though they're good kids, they got bored quickly. I was happy to be by myself for a few days. I could concentrate on ME. Get someone in to help. It will at least give you and your wife some peace of mind knowing the kids are safe and your wife can come and go from hospital as she pleases.

  6. (graph didn't translate)

Data taken from the USDA Nutrient Database for Standard Reference, Release 15. AA and DHA data from NutritionData.Com. Since the article was written, the USDA has published revisions. The latest, Release 17, can be found here.

As you can see from the table, the yolk contains 100% of the carotenoids, essential fatty acids, Vitamins A, E, D, and K (6 items). The white does not contain 100% of any nutrient.

The yolk contains more than 90% of the Calcium, Iron, phosphorus, zinc, thiamin, B6, folate, and B12, and 89% of the panthothenic acid (9 items). The white does not contain more than 90% of any nutrient, but contains over 80% of the magnesium, sodium, and niacin (3 items).

The yolk contains between 50% and 80% of the copper, manganese, and selenium, while the white contains between 50% and 80% of the potassium, riboflavin, and Protein.

It should also be kept in mind that the yolk of an egg is smaller than the white. Where the white contains a slim majority of nutrients, such as Protein, this is not due to a greater concentration in the white, but simply to the fact that there is more white in the egg than yolk.

I'll take my chances :) Besides, our bodies need fats, and we won't be eating enough that we'll consume dangerous amounts
