    Egg Yolk

(graph didn't translate) Data taken from the USDA Nutrient Database for Standard Reference, Release 15. AA and DHA data from NutritionData.Com. Since the article was written, the USDA has published revisions. The latest, Release 17, can be found here. As you can see from the table, the yolk contains 100% of the carotenoids, essential fatty acids, Vitamins A, E, D, and K (6 items). The white does not contain 100% of any nutrient. The yolk contains more than 90% of the Calcium, Iron, phosphorus, zinc, thiamin, B6, folate, and B12, and 89% of the panthothenic acid (9 items). The white does not contain more than 90% of any nutrient, but contains over 80% of the magnesium, sodium, and niacin (3 items). The yolk contains between 50% and 80% of the copper, manganese, and selenium, while the white contains between 50% and 80% of the potassium, riboflavin, and Protein. It should also be kept in mind that the yolk of an egg is smaller than the white. Where the white contains a slim majority of nutrients, such as protein, this is not due to a greater concentration in the white, but simply to the fact that there is more white in the egg than yolk. I'll take my chances Besides, our bodies need fats, and we won't be eating enough that we'll consume dangerous amounts

    Getting "re" Sleeved

I know of another person who is going to be re-resleeved. They were originally a band too.

    Egg Yolk

An egg is pretty boring without the yolk! Plus yolks are full of good stuff. Eat the whole egg.

    Any November 14Th Sleevers?

I can only eat 3 (sometimes 4) teaspoons....
  5. She would have a personal trainer and probably someone to prepare meals (as well as clean the house and look after the babies while she works her butt off). Perhaps you could look at doing that?
  6. I was released day 3 and there's no way I would have made it out of the carpark. I drove myself in, husband picked me up, and we took a taxi back the next day so he could drive my car back home. I felt safe to drive at one week.

    Scaredddd!

Everyone has a different experience. My day of op I was extremely nauseous, sore and fairly out of it. The following day was far better, just a bit of nausea (which subsided when they worked out which med to use). The next day better again And I'd do it all over again for the results I'm seeing

    Going Crazy

I think if you are sticking to your surgeons guidelines, you should be fine Maybe you could try some relaxation techniques or meditation. If nothing like that helps and you keep obsessing, perhaps seeing a psych could be beneficial.

    Attention ! Australian Sleevers

I'm stoked with the sleeve at this point. In 2 weeks I've lost 10kg. My clothes now fit (and dare I say my trousers are getting a little too loose) vs being so tight I really needed to go up a size. Just before surgery I saw a dress I really liked. I could JUST get it over my head and it certainly didn't go close to zipping up. Yesterday I wore it! My skin has improved. Now to conquer the wardrobe of clothes I have waiting for me. You know- those clothes we buy for "one day when I lose weight."

    Any November 14Th Sleevers?

I've not vomited. I eat much more slowly than I used to, but sometimes it's still not slow enough I think. I end up with the sensation of pressure in my chest sometimes. Funny how that happens.
  18. I didnt feel decent (lacking energy and needing lots of naps) until day 7. Then I felt ok. But I was on purée by then too, so I don't know if it would take longer if someone was on liquids still.
  19. Mine has now headed away from the band too. He also told me that the band has a higher rate of needing corrective operations.

    Self-Pay & Feeling Guilty

Turn it around - if he was in your situation would you be supportive of his having a VSG (or any other life saving operation) even though it would use your savings? If you would, then understand he feels the same way, accept it, let go of the guilt, and go for it

I can't wait! I bought some crab meat because I wanted a stronger taste. It goes down TOO well. Straight out the other end.
