    Attention ! Australian Sleevers

    Ah crackling ....yummo. Enjoy
  2. I too had doubt from my mother, but she knows once my mind is made up....there's no point arguing. I understood that she does not understand the procedure and has not researched it. I did not have support from my husband - especially when it came time to hand over the $$. But I do not regret my decision for one moment. The only person who really knows how you feel is YOU. Don't let others change your mind if this is what you really want to do.
  3. Just one of the many variations I guess. I was offered paracetamol tablets day 2, but declined until I felt brave enough on day 3
  4. I was able to take tablets (I break them in half if they're big) on day 2/3. I was surprised, but they go down easily. I had purchased a pill crusher just in case, but haven't needed to use it yet.

    Any November 14Th Sleevers?

Sooooo.....anyone else like me who hasn't managed to poop in 5 days? I've been adding fibre to everything and eating pureed pear, working on the water, walking regularly and NOTHING. I know it's going to hit me at some point

    Any November 14Th Sleevers?

I don't know about the glue, but yes, I have internal dissolving stitches. Also happy with this - I scar easily

    Was I Wrong?

Boyfriend issues aside, I was glad no-one came in on the day of my op. I really couldn't have paid attention to anyone right after the op (or the following day).

    Stomach Contracting?

Pain near your diaphragm? Sleeved same day as you and I get this also. I think it's probably residual gas loitering

    Any November 14Th Sleevers?

I got home today, so 3 nights in hospital. Boy oh boy, I didn't get it easy either. I was so nauseous day of surgery, and still fairly out of it the following day. But I've been walking as much as I could - stalking the wards at midnight. Helped with the gas pain, which I had around my diaphram and under my ribs. Once it moved up into my shoulders, heat pads were good. Today I thought I'd have a try at yogurt - 2 licks of the teaspoon and I was done. Weird! But 4kg (8.8 lb) down in 4 days. Now to concentrate on water/protein I guess.

    Heart Palpitations

I went through a period of palpitations - sometime around having a c-section. I was really concerned, but they eventually stopped. It's strange isn't it?

    White Fuzzy Tongue?

When my son was a baby and being plied with antibiotics, the only thing that worked (for his mouth thrush) was a high dose of a good quality probiotic powder. Medications didn't touch it. I still give all the kids daily probiotics.
  16. My plan says to start purée day 4 ....

    Sciatica

That's scary! I'd be put off by that too. Perhaps you might be able to find a good one by word of mouth?

    The Catheter For Men

Speaking from the female experience , it really isn't so bad. It doesn't take long to remove and doesn't hurt, just a slightly uncomfortable sensation. Not the end of the world

    Is It Bad...

It happened to me once, someone said "That's not you.". Uh, yes...... But I was about 20kg heavier than in the photo..... Embarrassing.

Help! I Am On A Bender

Ooooooh I won't be able to have chocolate in the house. I haven't had any for a couple of weeks. My son had a caramello koala in the fridge (husband bought it in to the house) and I thought "I'll just bite the head off." 10 minutes later I was back for the rest of it, and it made me feel like crap. Chocolate is just a no-go for me. I get a sugar high then want more when I come down.

    Gaining Weight

Yes, I did for several weeks. And then I got sick of eating. I was shoveling in food and felt like crap. Since then I have found that I haven't been eating ridiculous amounts, and I'm making better choices now. I get sleeved next week. Even though I knew I wasn't doing a good thing to myself, I didn't feel inclined to stop until I felt ill. And now I'm in a slightly more sane state of mind I realise that I have extra kgs to lose....bummer. I hope you can get it under control
