  1. I've heard of them and some of my friends that Are sleeved have one, but my surgeon said "just order an appetizer"-- and I think he's right
  2. My surgeon gave me a DVD of my surgery its pretty neat!! Glad you're doing well!
  3. Ladies of Livingston we need to get together for dinner! Doesn't matter if you're sleeved or not-- will give us all the chance to talk about it
  4. I'll get on my laptop in a few minutes and post it! David's bridal can alter two sizes up or two down (just FYI) i am waiting til January to buy mine
  5. I bought mine like a few months ago, had surgery last week.... I already don't fit in it... My advice to you (and what I'm going to do) is buy one off the rack! They are hardly that custom anyway --mine wasn't anyway and it was an expensive gown. My wedding isnt til Feb so there is no way I'll fit in my gown by then. Congrats on being smaller for your wedding! I know it's my dream come true!
  6. I am thrilled! Went to the Dr today and I've lost 17 lbs since my surgery 6 days ago! He said I was "way past" my goal and am out of the morbidly obese category already! I am STOKED! I've moved to creamy liquids which he included oatmeal so the minute I left I got the first bowl of oatmeal I could find! I am much happier off of clear liquids and I actually have a little something in my tummy-- hoping it brings lots of energy with it lol
  7. I moved in sizes so quickly that I still have everything too... Before my surgery I went through and labeled totes "16" "14" "10/12" etc and they're all stacked and ready to be pulled out for when I downsize and I'll pack up and SHIP OFF the big clothes! Unfortunately I already bought my wedding gown (wedding in Feb) so going to try to sell it and just buy one closer to my date I'm sure it won't be hard to get rid of, hope not anyway!
  8. Thanks! I'm on only clear liquids until (hopefully!) tomorrow when I meet with my dr so I haven't had any protein BUT I do have some unflavored protein waiting for him to clear me he hasn't been very clear on this sort of thing, guess I will discuss it tomorrow! I also bought a good bit of vitamins as well... Hoping I can start taking them so I can get some energy back!
  9. Okay so I know everyone is different, but I can't help but question this: on Aug 22 I weighed at my dr's office 240 lbs. I went home and ate like a normal person until the day before surgery (surgery was 9/4) when I did a liquid diet. Had surgery and stepped on the scale today and I'm down to 224 already? How is that possible? I mean I know some of that was my tummy but really? 16 lbs in only a few short days seems crazy to me?!
  10. I also had surgery the same day as you guys I had some issues the first few days but woke up today actually feeling alright! Which makes me verrrrry happy! I had a slight fever yesterday but it passed and I cannot complain. So sorry that you guys had complications, I guess I'm not "out of the woods" yet but hoping for things to go as smoothly as possible and ready to eat something more than chicken broth haha
  11. It has slowed since yesterday a lot, I'm seeing my surgeon on Monday so I'm going to mention it to him then
  12. My surgery was Tuesday... All Tuesday night and Wednesday I was coughing and the coughing was making me gag and eventually vomit. Since then the vomiting has stopped but the cough and the yuckiness (green nasty stuff) is still there. Should I be worried or is this normal?
  13. I'm 3 days out and still on clear liquids... Then next week I'll be on creamy liquids then the next week mushy foods... I'm way scared of eating a lot and popping my sleeve
  14. So sorry to hear this hoping things get better for you quickly!!! What are they calling pneumonia? I've been coughing since surgery (Tuesday) and it won't stop, is that normal?
  15. Thanks for the advice, vomiting has slowed down a lot! I am not in the hospital bc I did it as an outpatient procedure
  16. The vomiting has finally slowed for me, gas x strips and ice chips are what I'm living on. I am almost positive I was I my vomiting bc of the crap that's int lungs-- I was coughing so much it was making me gag and eventually vomit. Going home in a few hours. Hoping I continue to feel better and better.
  17. Constant Vomiting... But other than that okay
  18. I did pretty good as well, just vomiting a lot... Can't seem to keep anything in my tummy wish i were feeling like you lol
  19. I'm vomiting every time I get up to use the restroom, any ideas on how to stop this? Ive taking phenegrin and it works for a little bit but it's getting worse and worse...?
  20. I'm on my way in too!!! Good luck to you!! My nerves are shot hahaha
  21. I was told to bring Mylicon drops if you cant do gas x (I'm bringing both!)... I'm mag citrate right now and I can barely stomach it-- it's horrible!! Wish I'd been on liquids now lol I'm also a nervous wreck! Hoping I chill out soon haha
  22. Green tea = my best friend lol thank goodness I didn't have to do this for more than today
  23. I'm tomorrow as well!! Good luck everyone!!
