  2. Happy Thanksgiving Decembersleevers my date is the 6th of Dec too. I wonder why some doctors have us do days and some weeks of preop diets. I'm going to ask my Doc, but this is for everyone we ate good today but tomorrow lets get back on the grind and accomplish what we need to to get on the losers bench. Prayers go out to all of us on this journey, talk to you soon

  3. My date is Dec 3rd. I'm so afraid and excited. I wish I could just get this over with. I'm mostly afraid of the pain after the surgery which is crazy because I had twins with no epideral. I'm also worried of extra skin' date=' I have about 100lbs to loose. Then again I'm so excited that I can work out and play with my kids without being out of breath. I feel like I'm going to chicken out sometimes. I feel overwhelmed sometimes. I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling this way.[/quote']

Good luck to you..we both will do fine..good luck and let me know how it goes

  4. Yesterday was my last meeting with my surgeon (Dr. Robert Li' date=' head of bariatrics, yippee!). I also had the last of my tests and the pre-op class. Lots of info, the best news being that Kaiser will pay for a hotel for us for the night before the surgery!

This will be so much better than having to drive over an hour to be there in the morning!

They also gave me two bags full of sample Vitamins and a 4 time a day one week pill keeper/reminder.

Hopefully by this time next week, I will be sleeved![/quote']

Hi cholula, I'm behind you I'm going to be sleeved dec 6 :) at the same place what test did you have to do ?my prep is on the 27th

  5. I couldn't eat anything until the day after surgery. Not to worry though because you will not feel any hunger. For the next 2 days I was on a liquid diet (just broth' date=' Jello & tea/water). From day 3 until my 2 week check up I was on stage 2 of the liquid diet which included yogurt, mashed potatoes, creamy Soups and a few other items that I can't remember but they should all be in the handbook Hope that helps a little.[/quote']

Thanks so muchhh...ur responses has really ease my nerves a lot..ur a life saver

  6. Best wishes to you. SSF Kaiser is known to be the 'Bariatric Guru'. Nothing to worry about. The surgery is only about 45 minutes and then the journey begins. Since Oct 3rd I've lost 25 lbs and couldn't be happier. It will be the best thing you ever did. <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
