  2. Hey' date='

I'm in Maideahead, Berkshire it's near Windsor.

How have you got in with your pre-diet? I tried mine today, it was hard sticking to 800 cals.

How much have you lost so far, I have around 220 lbs of lard to lose, how about you?

Hi Mary, I am into my 8th day on 800 Cal's, it does get easier after about 3 or 4 days. I am eating lots of salad or veggies to fill me up. I could have chewed my own fingers on the second night, best wishes, :-) Janet

Hi, I have sleep apnea and still hate the mask but am also so grateful for the treatment. I only manage to wear mine for about 4 hours a night, but it has still made a big difference. I have to take mine into hospital with me and am not looking forward to wearing it, but it is for my good so will obey. Really hope I can stop using it soon, best wishes , :-)

Hi, just wondering how u are doing? I have been on my pre op diet since Monday and am doing good, but the weekend may be a big challenge, hubby has a takeaway and I know I will be tempted, lol. I am just focussing on what I should eat and making sure I have in what I need to stick to it. I am on the 800 -1,000cal low fat, low Carb, low sugar min Protein diet, glad I am not on the 14 day milk diet.

I am using the fitness pal app to log what I eat and am finding it very helpful.

I am going to get weighed in a short while and am hoping I have lost some more weight, only getting weighed twice a week, but I want to get on everyday.

My mom who is 80 has been Ill this week and late last night was rushed into hospital in delirium and I just wanted to comfort eat when I got home, but didn't, I had 2 slices of chicken and was satisfied.

Would love to hear how you are getting pre op, Janet

  6. Good luck! You may also want to look for posts from TJ Mama. She's been wheelchair-bound for years and is working her way up to walking...and making GREAT strides! :) You may be able to correspond with her for ideas' date=' or get good information just from reading her posts.[/quote']

Thank you very much for all of your replies, they have really helped me, x :-) x

  7. hi, i am disabled and at my current weight am not able to exercise, i cannot walk far at all because i get cramp in the bottom of my back. When i am in my wheelchair i self propel, but can not do it for long.

I use my stomach muscles a lot to help me sit up in bed, and am concerned if i will be able to do this after the op.

I intend to go swimming after the op when i am recovered, but can't think of anything else i can do.

I have fatigue probs with the fibromyalgia but am hoping i will have more energy when i have lost some weight to be able to do some arm exercises, i have bought some little hand held weights but have not got a clue what to do with them, any advice would be really appreciated, especially from anyone else who is disabled and lives with fibro, thanks, Janet, x

  8. hi, my op is on the 9th and today I have started the 800 Cal low fat, low Carb, moderate Protein diet, and am so ready to get on with it. after waiting 18 months I am so happy to be just two weeks away.

I am having fun getting things together to take into the hospital and have two sets of pjs depending on what size I will be in two weeks, hoping to be into the new smaller size, but prepared to take in the bigger older ones, knowing I should be into the smaller ones soon.

Want to wish every one on the diet, or starting the diet soon, best wishes and to all who are having their sleeve in Oct prayers for a suscessful operation with minimal pain and a quick recovery with no complications, for us all, Janet. :-). xx

  9. Thank you for sharing your experience' date=' you have given me hope that I will to become a success story[/quote']

I found this so encouraging, I had got it into my head that if the smaller stomach helped me to eat less then I should loose weight and keep it off, and have been concerned with eating too little and going into starvation mode which can stop or slow weight loss, thank you for all the posts, it really is helping me in my thinking. The people I know who have no issues with weight eat what they want but in small portions, and know when they are full and stop eating. I am always hungry, and really hope that it is true that the hunger goes with the part of the stomach that is removed, and can know when I am full. Thanks again, :-) x
