  1. Oh this is kinda funny really. I didn't even think it could be I was full! haha I ate so little! It's a whole new world! Thanks you guys!!!
  2. I just have a quick question on cheese. I am in the pureed stage (2 weeks out) and my doc said I can now have eggs and lowfat cheese. Does anyone know what the maximum fat content should be? I bought Kraft reduced fat sharp cheddar made with 2% milk (6 gm fat) but I barely got through 1/2 of my scrambled egg and cheese mixture before I started feeling uncomfortable. Thank you.
  3. I just did! Thanks! I'm glad it's a good thing but this sorta stinks too! (literally!)lol
  4. I did it! I cut it off the bone into really small pieces and chewed and chewed and chewed! 2 hours later and no problems!! I think really it ended up being pureed by the time it hit my belly from all that chewing!! Man, it was hard taking all the skin off the chicken..I used to love that but I DEF know that would've caused problems!!! I'm so happy I was able to eat with my family instead of a shake! hah!!
  5. The only thing I found that gave me energy was to stomach as much protein as I could. They had this awful clear stuff in the hospital that I mixed in my broth..When I got home, I used the powder I bought that tastes wayyyyy better and mixed in water and eventually into milk. The lst few days I fell asleep at a drop of a hat!! But soon thereafter, I could stay awake for much longer periods. I am 2 weeks out and really not tired at all now except if I forgot to have my protein! They I drink it and I'm fine. Good luck!
  6. Thanks I hope so! Guess I will find out! haha Pureed chicken just does not sound right!
  7. Hi there, I am making chicken tonight for my family (chicken legs with skin using shake n bake) and I just hit the puree stage. Do you think I could eat a leg (minus the skin) if I just cut the chicken super duper small? I don't really wanna puree it. Or does anyone have any idea how I could eat the leg? Dark meat tends to be more moist so I think it's moist enough? Thanks!
  8. I will look for both of those! I'm desperate! haha Does anyone know how long we will have the bad breath? I'm assuming it goes away eventually...
  9. I am gonna need some mints! How are you all dealing with the breath thing?! Any good recommendations?
  10. Hi all..my questions today are these: 1) Anyone have a drain hole thats still healing RIGHT under their breast and how are you dealing with a bra?! 2) When can I eat a bananna? I am a November 12th sleever! 3) My breath STINKS and I think it's the Protein I'm ingesting! I mean it's like a film on my tongue practically! (I know gross!) Anyone else? And they say NO gum! So now what?! Thanks everyone!
  11. I was told you can drink 1 year from date of surgery. You could drink before that (I believe 6 months) but since the lst year is when the most weight loss occurs, I will wait.
  12. I agree! I NEVER had soup before (except when I was a little kid!) I like trying to find different ways to add more flavor and no extra calories and carbs (or very little). Soup rocks! I still always have an urge for some crackers with it..but knowing I will gag on them keeps that from happening! Plus I do not want to get in the carb rut again...
  13. Not at this stage yet unfort...I was just happy to get a different flavor broth! haha But next week...I get to have eggs!
  14. I thought I'd share this recipe cuz it was really delicious so if you are on full liquids, try it! Heat up a cup of chicken broth Whisk in 2 tbsp of Idahoan potato flakes (I had 4 cheese tonight and also bought Roasted Garlic and parmesian to try later) This makes a thin soup that I had NO trouble getting down...delicious! Tasted like cheesy potato soup! You can add protein too but I wanted to try it natural lst.
  15. Best wishes to both of you! I just had it done on the 12th and no regrets!
  16. I miss caffeine toooooo! oh mashed potatoes..that may have to be a no no for me...LOVE them.
  17. My left side has been bugging like crazy! I finally had the BM too (with help! lol) and all day I felt good but now that pain is back! Is it the soup I had? I strained potato soup for lunch. Maybe I'm trying to soon as well? I haven't felt like I had to go at all since this am...I kinda wanna take something daily! Does anyone?
  18. Please tell me what you mixed your prilosec with!!! I tried with Jello and that was a major fail!!
  19. haha thats quite the topic line! Yes, I KNOW! But I have only lived here two years so don't blame me! I'm only one week out so I can't help you with foods...I just ate some strained potato soup! Yummy

I had to laugh at one of the responses...lol..I just put some cinnamon and splenda on it this time..this is what I put on my oatmeal usually. It was fine but I'm gonna do some experiments. Thanks peeps!
  21. Hi everyone! I'm on my second week of liquids which means for me I can have things like milk, pudding, and cream o wheat! Since I always had brown sugar before on it, any other topping ideas that will work? I have the little individual packs that say to use 2/3 cup liquid so I will use my milk!
  22. Well I've had Miralax and Milk of Magnesia..if it doesn't happen tomorrow I will be very surprised! That would be day 7 I guess (from 11/12 surgery)...ugh...the pain is still here but I am hopeful now at least! hah
  23. Does anyone know what's the average time a BM returns? It's been a week! I'm wishing I took some Miralax like at day 4!
  24. thanks I am gonna try!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
