I am 5 months out, surgery date June 26 2012
I've just looked at the 5 day pouch test has anyone else?
-
I've been on a stall for the last month and half I've been the same weight now which seems to be over a month!
I gained 5 lbs but lost it a week later and have not lost anything since! I don't know what I'm doing wrong and seriously starting to get super frustrated!
I drink Proteins, eat proteins and don't do that many carbs!
I exercise regularly and I just don't get it! Is this it?

Thanks guys! Blushing...

I started loosing my hair at the 3 month mark I am now 5 months out as of Monday! Honestly I didn't use Vitamins or Biotin, I used a Shampoo called nioxin, I have really fine hair and just this last week I've notice it falling out less!
They say the good quality shampoo helps with not leaving a greasy film on your hair and it lasts a long time, I use it everyday and don't think I will change, before when I used Pantene or stuff like that I had to change shampoos every 2 weeks, so my hair didn't feel greasy, I have used Nioxin for 2 months straight and haven't had a problem with it! You can find it at a salon or a salon outlet store!
It might be something to try, I'm dreading seeing my hair dresser next week, I can't wait for it to come in, hope it does soon:)
Hope you find something that works!

Needing some inspiration today! I feel horrible, I've gained 5lbs... I've been in physio for the last month as I was in a work accident before my weight loss journey began.. I've been here for a month doing physio 5 days a week and only get to get home on the weekends! They only thing I've noticed besides the weight gain is I have bicep that I've never seen before!
I live in a hotel for the week and go home the weekends, I try and eat as healthy as I can I buy a roasted chicken and the bagged salad, I know not the greatest but at least it's better then restaurant food!
I also have a smoothie for Breakfast everyday I'm here, 1 cup frozen mixed berries, 100 calorie single serving of Greek yogurt, a scoop of body by vi and a scoop whey Protein Powder and water!
I indulge in some chocolate everyone and then nothing over the top now, and just recently started drinking tea and hot chocolate for a sweet fix!
I don't eat potatoes, Pasta or bread! I do how ever eat long grain rice 2 tbs at the most very rare though!
Is Water seriously the issue here? I think I've answered my own question I think I only get about 1800 mls a day and obviously that is not enough!
Any advice any help would be appreciated as I don't want this to be it the 250"s my goal is too loses anywhere to 80-110 more pounds!
Thanks guys... I go home Friday for good and start slowly back to work as a nurse, agh so stressed????

My surgery was June 18th & I've only lost 63 lbs - been in a 2 month stall though. I'm just happy I haven't gained any in the 2 months either. My pants are getting looser but the scale doesn't move. Skin looks great everywhere but my arms - so depressing to have bat wings. lolLol bat wings! I have those too.. I work hardcore on my arms it's getting better, but sometimes I think that I could take off on flight soon!
I hope your stall breaks, I've been on one for 3 weeks now and it's killing me! I'm sure that yours will break soon

Thank you guys so much for the inspiration! You guys are all amazing and good luck on your journeys as well! This is a great place for encouragement and learning!

I hope I've lost that by five months! I'm two months out right now. I am in a second stall so I really hope I can lose that much by five months. Keep up the great work!I'm on my second stall too. I don't like them very much, it's frustrating to see the scale at the same number for weeks at a time! I think it's caused I've increased my weights when I work to loose my flabby arms, I know that I also drink near enough Water, I eat to fast, those are 2 things I struggle with everyday!
We will get through I'm sure of it, those pounds will be off before we know it:) good luck and thank you for you kind words!

Thanks guys I was just starting think, I wasn't doing enough! Those darn videos made feel like I should be way down!
I work out 5 days a week and have had 2 long stalls, but am thinking it's time to kick up the cardio!
Thanks for the encouraging words, I think any amount of weight is good down from 314lbs to 249 I like a lot! I feel like a different person! I just want the rest to come of I'd like to loose at least 70-100 more! I hope it's possible, I want to make it possible!

I feel like it should be more as I've been watching utube and some people have lost over 100 pounds by now! Should I be doing something more or am I done! I feel like I should be there too! Where is everyone else at 5 months out?

I find that I really like using the soy milk, I use only 1 cup and a scoop of body fortress Protein powder, I find I like the chocolate better then anything...
I find the milk is more filling and seems to keep me full, and when I feel that I need more Water I mix my powders with Water it doesn't actually taste that bad, to make it kind of like a shake I mix in ice and a bit of plain fat free yogurt!
It seems to be working as I was stuck in a stall for almost a month and just since then I've lost like 6 pounds!
It's hard to say what your gunna like I've also just tried plain yogurt with slice canned peaches packed in water and that tasted amazing as well!
I just keep trying new things as sometimes I like them and sometimes I don't, it's frustrating to see how much money I spend and not like what I bought, it's a good thing I have friends and family who like getting the stuff I don't like!

I am 3 months post- op! It's the first thing I told my ER nurse! It's funny though how many people have never heard of this operation! Yes I am so very thankful I am okay!
I'm going to to see if maybe my doctor has a cancellation as I can't get into see him till Monday, and I really don't like going into ER as I'm a nurse to and they say we make the worst PTs

Sorry for the spelling! My iPhone and I are really not on good terms, when it comes to posting on here!

So I was in a car accident, on Friday, I am fine just some bumps and bruises! The car is not but hey I'm here to tell the story!
I had a ct scan and X-rays, to make sure that my stomach was okay and it was no leaks, or internal bleeding, I have a bruise from seatbelt that starts from the neck all down the right side of my body and then across my stomach! I look like a Christmas tree with all these colors from the bruising!
I was just wondering if anyone has some input, it seems like have completely lost my appetite, and finding it hard to consume Water, I'm forcing myself to drink cause I have too, but I'm thinking its just swelling g! What do you fellow sleepers think! I found today I ate a little more then I have in the last coue days but still not like it was!
I've made sure there's no leaks and no bleeding! Just want to hear some feedback!
Thanks!
-
Yes it really seemed to help it goes to show you really need to know that what your putting in your new stomach! I had no idea I thought I was getting enough! I'm glad to hear it worked for you as we'll!

Hi all I was on here the other day, asking about what I needed to do to break my nice 3 week plus stall and it finally happened!
I added a Protein shake on Sunday in the morning for Breakfast and I've lost 4lbs woot woot! Finally gunna hot the high 250s but I'm so happy! 3 months out with deep Water running and some weights, I'm gunna do this! Thanks for letting me share!
-
I bought the silk, vanilla and it tastes pretty good mixed in with Protein Powder, when I mix it there is a total of 19 grams of Protein in 250mls! It's filling and takes me about 2 hours to drink the glass! I didn't like the almond milk as much as the silk!
-
Mmm that sounds good... I shall try all of these, today I bought strawberry flavored soy milk, I'm gunna try that in them as well, my boyfriend couldn't drink enough of it said it was pretty good! It has 9 grams of Protein in a cup, is that good? Also has any one tried the soy milk and how does it agree with your sleeve?

Thanks guys, I'm 3 months out and struggling with food and fluid!
I vowed yesterday to start over again, I've lost 56 pounds including pre-op and on a major stall! Ill give them all a try and see what I like!
