  1. I am also 10 months out! Keep up the great work! Congrats on your milestone! It is definitely something to be proud of :). You look wonderful!!! How far are you from your goal?

Thanks, I feel great and I'm healthy and my knees love me again :)

I am about 70lbs away from my personal goal, but I'd be happy with the 160-170 range, I feel that I can do it just need a little hard work to finish it off!

I just want to loose my 17 lbs so I can say I'm in the 100s and ten easy peazy, small goals will make it easier!

How are you doing on your 10 month journey?

  2. 105 pounds gone forever- whoooo-hooooooo!! You rock girl! I am always inspired by seeing the results of my "co-losers". Even when the weight loss slows' date=' those numbers still add up to great results! Keep up the good work. Are you close to goal? Have a great "beautiful earth day!"[/quote']

Not close to goal, my dr said he's happy with where I am at, but my personal goal is 150, I just want to say I'm in the 100s, I have has a tough time with this last bit as its hard for me to continually exercise, I have a brain injury and when I tend to over do it with the exercise I suffer with major headaches and balance problems:( sucks but I just stick to the walking and and the eating rules, I'm okay as long as I'm not gaining I haven't weighed this much since I was 18, so this is still success for me:) thanks for the good vibes :)

  3. First of all thank you so much! I feel great, and can't wait for the rest to disappear, but learning that my small goals are more attainable ;)

There should be a little + icon at the top right corner when you go to reply to a thread or start a new thread, you click on that and it should, take you to another screen where it's add from library or camera, choose one and voila ;)

  4. Yes, it's funny how we're way harder on ourselves now :( I feel like that big girl still trying on little people clothes and hoping my skin suit will fall off! I often wonder if our skin will tighten with exercise and my front bum will go away :) or at least that what I call it, and I often wonder if the skin under my as is going to help me take flight when I wave...

  5. I had one too and it was extremely painful for about 8-9 weeks. Sometimes it was even hard to walk' date=' sit, bend, twist, get up..moving in general was excruciating and it would come and go and I had no clue what would trigger it, even the skin in the area was extremely sensitive, I couldn't put any clothing on that area that wasn't super loose. To me, it was stabbing and felt more like a muscle tear. CT and MRI scans were negative so the doc thought it was very deep. He pressed extremely hard on the area one day when it was very tender over and over again and that is when he said it was a hematoma. It was so sore for over a week but now, knock on wood, it seems to have gone away... THANK GOD! I'm not sure if all of his pressing on it made it break up and asorb or what but it seems to be ok right now.

Good luck, hope it clears up soon for you![/quote']

I felt the same way, I too had a hematoma, and had the same symptoms, this all does go away eventually! Just takes time, hope you feel better soon.. I thought I was the only but glad to know there's more of us out there ;)

  6. Thanks ladies it is awesome! I love seeing things that I have not seen either ever or for a very long time!

Loosing 91 pounds so far has made me find things are possible and can't wait to experience more! It's kind of like a treasure hunt!

Hope you guys are enjoying your sleeve, and are doing well! I also love the fact I can tie my shoes without wanting to pass out! ;) congrats on the victories so far ^^^^ ladies!

  7. I was have a shower today and when I was shaving my legs I noticed that I had a back and a butt.

I wasn't moving parts around, I wasn't kinking my neck and I surely wasn't fighting my rolls to shave my legs...

I found it, lol I found that when I look behind me I don't have move folds and rolls, now I can see behind me straight down to my feet!

I love it, still have some roll but not as much as before! Love love my sleeve:)

Oh and I found that my hair no longer falls out at 7 months but find little pieces sticking up every where like I have static cling, and those are my little hairs growing back:)

Just wanted to share my happiness:)

  8. Terrific Job :)

my question is how far are you post op? I am having stalling issues at 5 months out not trying to hijack thread your just close to what I was when I started the sleeve process.

(on my tickers I use the highest weight I was in May of this year I started dieting before seeing sleeve doc in June lost around 15 before seeing him the first time) :)

No apologies I am exactly 7 months out as of yesterday;)

I stalled bad at the 5 month mark for at least a month or maybe more, I got frustrated and quit looking at the scale and just added lots more Water, exercise and a Protein shake.

It will come, I find I'm still loosing about 7-10 lbs a month and don't loose any before my Tom.. There's lots of info on here and tons of help, everyone stalls some more then others, don't be hard on your self.. The more you stress the harder it is to loose. Good luck you can do it!

  9. Thanks guys, it is a great feeling, I think I was this small one when I was in my 20"s I love the feeling... The only I don't like is when I hear OMG you look amazing and I think to myself I didn't before?

My scrub tops I sold for 15 dollars a piece and they are the Cherokee brand with the flexible sides, and 10 bucks for the pants, if your selling sets I'd sell them between 25 and 30 dollars a set, depending on the wear in the legs:) that's what I've been selling too all 3x and size 22-24 pants..

I didn't think I'd make money but when you pay 50.00 dollars do something you hope to get something out them, I sold all my good t-shirts for 10 dollars, my hoodies for 20, certain mxm pants for 25.00 and most of them so people still want to but them, I just posted it on our local by and sell viola:)

So so happy, hope you gals can do the same, and lets keep rocking all the benefits of the sleeve:)

  10. So excited, almost 7 months out and down 90lbs, I've been contemplating getting rid of my old clothes for awhile, I've gave a majority of them away but really should have sold them! I ways bought quality plus size clothing at Addition Elle.

I thought hey, why give clothes away when I payed lots of money to clothe my old body, and now that they new has changed and I'm needing new clothes lets just sell them, I made 160.00 dollars today just getting rid of some old work scrubs and some hoodies!

This will help me buy new clothes, I love it.. So excited I thought I'd share...

Just not wanting to sell the new silver jeans I bought in November first pair of silver jeans and they now fall down when I walk, let's hope I have nothing in my hands...

  11. I went shopping today for some new scrubs to wear to work, have been off for over a year! My 3x scrubs no longer fit!

I squealed with delight when I could squeeze myself into an xl shirt and pants! That's something I have not done since I was in my teens:) so so happy, I can't wait to go back to work looking amazing!

  12. Yes - this is absolutely correct. Also' date=' keep in mind that there is no "magic window of ideal loss" like with the RNY. Your sleeve is your sleeve and the size it is around one year out is about as large as it will get. What I eat at more than two years out is only slightly more than I ate at one year out, and it's still a fraction of what I ate prior to surgery.

I'm saying this to prevent you and others from panicking needlessly because they haven't reached goal before one year. There is no rule about how quickly you need to reach goal and your ability to lose continues for the rest of your life. Even people that experience regains could rather easily go back to basics and lose weight again several years post op. I reached goal in seventeen months, at a pace of just over six pounds a month (with two nine week stalls for good measure) and found that yes, it took more time to shed pounds the closer I got to goal weight (6 months to drop the last 20 pounds) but it wasn't any more difficult than losing weight in the beginning. I simply kept up the same healthy diet plan and eventually got to my goal.

    Good luck,

    ~Cheri[/quote']

Thanks so much I'm okay with it taking longer then I expected! I'm just hoping I get to goal and if its slow its slow, I love this information it helps with the questions I never asked! It's good good to know I will get there as long as I continue to use my tools right it will work as long as I realize it! Thank you:)

  13. Thank you so much guys, I still remain disciplined in my eating habits, I always eat my Protein first and getting in my fluids! And I will be exercising my little butt off!

Your right I just wanted to know if this is really it but for me I know I'm going to make sure I get to wear I want to be by choosing my new new tool and and doing what it takes to get there!

I know I can get to goal, and I'm going to do it, I just wanted some advice and stats on it and everyone's opinions;) thank you, to you all I love coming on and knowing you guys have wonderful things to say!

  14. Is it true after 6 months you don't continue to loose the weight like you first did?

I'm just 6 months out and have lost 80lbs and loving it, once was 318lbs... Now down to 238lbs! My goal is 140 so that means I have 98 more to loose!

Do any of the veteran sleevers know if this is going to stop? I had a month and half stall and just with in the last 2 weeks dropped 10lbs!

Scared to death, well maybe not death but nervous it isn't going to happen:)
