@alliecat, Yes I am also tired of Protein Shakes and Water too. I guess because I was drinking them before I actually had to that now i'm sick if them. I tried the Lipton tea and honey with mango and pineapple and the lemon, they are pretty good and I can usually drink the while cup, just takes awhile.
@James no it wasn't a question just stated a thought to see others view, I guess I did just leave it out there in left field...LOL!!

I am 5 days post op and I am having a hard time with drinking Water. Everytime I sip I get a hard ball feeling in my chest. I know this will past just wondering about others experience who are only a few days out.

Good luck and have a safe and speedy recovery!

Well I still cant get all the Water in. Tonight for dinner i'm having mashed potatoes and natural applesauce. Glad these are considered full liquids since I can swallow and not chew much, just make potatoes a little bit wetter.
@new grandmother...YES, I know today I didn't do much just cooked and sat in the yard fir a few hours with my daughters. Believe me I learned my lesson.

@wallman, that's cute I like Oscar, @ newgrandmother I had the same feeling with the popcicle, I couldn't do it. Right now i'm eating oatmeal and my sleeve seems to tolerate it pretty good.
I think I may have over done it today. Went to a few nursery with my parents looking for a white crype myrtle then to the grocery store. Not to mentioning climbing in and out of a expedition truck, no I had to come home and take 2 percocets. I am staying my butt home tomorrow!!!

I work @ a hospital and i am thw secretary so I have no heavy lifting or anything but U dud take 2 1/2 weeks if just ti get use ti my new sleeve and how I can tolerate my diet, I may go back early, I don't know yet, depends on if I get bored or not!

Oh that's so good' date=' I should be able to go home tomorrow... How long did it take you to drink that shake?!Sent from my iPhone using VST[/quote']
Sorry @ ready4 change77, it took me about 1 hour to get it down but it was Optifast strawberry which I didn't like that's why it too so long and I only had about 1/4 cup. I like my Atkins shake better.

Really, I can't see anyone being about to get 64 oz of Water in, I can barely get one bottle. Yesterday I hade 1 popcicle, 1/2 of my Atkins Protein Shake then I had some cream brocolli and cheese Soup. I felt my stomach cramp up but just a little gas came out, no BM as of yet. Today i'm having cream of wheat with evaporated milk and it went done pretty good. I'm gonna try my Vitamin zero water and see if that helps me with my 64 oz of water. I find it very helpful to take my zofran (nausea med) about 15 -20 min befire I eat.
I wish all of us the continued success we are having and continue to post updates please.

Hey fellow sleevers for today, WE MADE IT! Mine was a total success. When HUH says 745 thats what they mean. I arrived at 6 am did my last little paper work, Iv started and @7 i was on ly way back to OR. Spoke with a lot of doctors about anesthesia then my surgeoen, Dr. Tran came asked if I had any last questions, then askwd if we could say a prayer. WOW, I was so impressed with his bedside manner, actually all of them. I wasn't nervous at all, they made me feel safe. In about 5 minutes I was in lalaland! Then the next thing I knew I was in recovery, just a little nausea and very little pain. By noon I was in my room. Now i am just waiting to have foley taken out and start walking. As off right now no nausea and I have hit my PCA (pain med) twice. I hope to have thia continued success for myself and everyone else, we made it!!

I take the Yoplait smoothie which has 1 Protein, 8 oz if 2% milk which is 8, then I use 1/2 package Advocare Very berry shake which is 12 Proteins. So for my shake I get 21 protein. They are really good. I like the strawberries and bananas. They also have chocolate and bananas.
