  1. @alliecat, Yes I am also tired of Protein Shakes and Water too. I guess because I was drinking them before I actually had to that now i'm sick if them. I tried the Lipton tea and honey with mango and pineapple and the lemon, they are pretty good and I can usually drink the while cup, just takes awhile.

@James no it wasn't a question just stated a thought to see others view, I guess I did just leave it out there in left field...LOL!!

  2. Hey! I'm in DC...had mine on 6/6/12 at Howard by Dr. Tran. They have a support group' date=' but this month's was cancelled. Next month is july 19, for anyone interested. I am also definitely in for a meetup![/quote']

@ tinfoil Hello, I also had mine by Dr. Tran on the 12th. He was GREAT, how was your experience and have u been to any support groups there yet?

  3. @wallman, that's cute I like Oscar, @ newgrandmother I had the same feeling with the popcicle, I couldn't do it. Right now i'm eating oatmeal and my sleeve seems to tolerate it pretty good.

I think I may have over done it today. Went to a few nursery with my parents looking for a white crype myrtle then to the grocery store. Not to mentioning climbing in and out of a expedition truck, no I had to come home and take 2 percocets. I am staying my butt home tomorrow!!!

  4. Really, I can't see anyone being about to get 64 oz of Water in, I can barely get one bottle. Yesterday I hade 1 popcicle, 1/2 of my Atkins Protein Shake then I had some cream brocolli and cheese Soup. I felt my stomach cramp up but just a little gas came out, no BM as of yet. Today i'm having cream of wheat with evaporated milk and it went done pretty good. I'm gonna try my Vitamin zero water and see if that helps me with my 64 oz of water. I find it very helpful to take my zofran (nausea med) about 15 -20 min befire I eat.

I wish all of us the continued success we are having and continue to post updates please.

  5. Glad to hear all went well for you' date=' my surgery went ok for me as well although the incisions are very painful especially on my left side - I also had a hiated hernia that Dr Veninga had to repair... I've had no nausea though so thank God for that ... They just gave me pain meds for the stomach pains so it's making me very sleepy but judged to give you all an update.... Hope everyone's from the 12th went great & anyone today... God bless

  7. Hey fellow sleevers for today, WE MADE IT! Mine was a total success. When HUH says 745 thats what they mean. I arrived at 6 am did my last little paper work, Iv started and @7 i was on ly way back to OR. Spoke with a lot of doctors about anesthesia then my surgeoen, Dr. Tran came asked if I had any last questions, then askwd if we could say a prayer. WOW, I was so impressed with his bedside manner, actually all of them. I wasn't nervous at all, they made me feel safe. In about 5 minutes I was in lalaland! Then the next thing I knew I was in recovery, just a little nausea and very little pain. By noon I was in my room. Now i am just waiting to have foley taken out and start walking. As off right now no nausea and I have hit my PCA (pain med) twice. I hope to have thia continued success for myself and everyone else, we made it!!
