  1. You are doing great!!! Such a difference already- good job!
  2. Wow you look awesome! Well done!!!
  3. So I quit smoking and have done very well up until this past week. Very bad. I smoke 2 cigs today alone. I don't have my surgery date yet but know it will be in Dec. need some help/support/encouragement. I know I need to cut this out pronto!
  4. Not yet, hope to know in a week
  5. Got all my classes done, all my clearances- woohoo!
  6. Thank you all for your support. I will also check out the mentioned thread. NDN_RN- Congratulations!!!
  7. Oh wait- why can't we have caffeine? Cuz I love my coffee...
  8. Thank you all for your posts. I am going to pick myself up out of this place! I have cut my diet soda addiction, quit smoking, and I can do this!
  9. Perhaps you can get an open spot if someone moves/cancels their surgery?
  10. Ok so please don't judge me on this. I know I cannot be the only one... Does anyone out there find themselves eating anything they want prior to surgery and pre op diet? I logically know my eating habits will have to change entirely- therefore I am like oh yea let me have a bowl of ice cream with hot fudge- better have all the goodies now while I still can! However I definitely feel icky from doing this for a few weeks. Just want some reassurance other folks have gone through this.
  11. Wow! That's so exciting!!! Congrats! ????
  12. Hmmm- I think I will try to vitamin D. Not sure yet if I'm low been been extremely tired and have the same horrible leg stiffness.
  13. So far smoke free today- don't even want it. Yay!
  14. Day 3 of Chantix and still smoking but cigs def tasting worse and worse. Only 3 cigs today- so still proud of myself. I think I'm gonna get some blow pops or something- cuz I am noticing I want to smoke while on phone or when friends stop by (who smoke).
  15. We all need support- and venting is part of that... I don't blame you at all for being upset. Like you said, it's the fact your request for privacy was not respected. That should always be respected and understood, regardless of reason.
  16. We can do this!!!
  17. I know this has been posted before, but just need to vent/rant. The reactions you get from people close to you are crazy. Some are wildly supportive & other emphatically against it. I guess my disappointment has been in telling my dad and sister. My dad acted like I was insane for considering this, an my sister just got super quiet and changed the subject. I don't care what they think really, I'm going to do what's right for me- but it's more like really??? Where's the support? Then one of my best friends is basically already jealous acting. She won't consider talking about it and just changes the subject or makes snyde comments. Oh well, like I said, this is for me and only me. Just glad there is a app like this for support and venting/ranting. Lol! Thanks for the support!!!
  18. Thank you all for your support. Maybe its psychological but day 2 on Chantix and just tried to smoke- it was not good. Yay!!!
  19. Thanks everyone. Yes, I actually have an ecig- but it hurts my throat :-/ I just want to quit and be done.
  20. Oh goodness- the dr warned me of that too! Hope that doesn't happen, I'll take the sleeplessness-lol
  21. Working on the smoking- gotta quit. Day 1 taking Chantix and I cannot sleep- anyone out there have this issue?
  22. Met with my primary today and got my letter of recommendation! She also gave me an RX for Chantix, as I am trying to quit smoking too. Getting very excited!!!!
