  9. Get the protein in it will help with the hunger. I cheated with 2 oreo cookies the other night and I paid with foam vomit about 15 minutes later. Im 2 months out but why would I eat a freaking oreo?? I won't beat myself up, I will move forward and make better choices and so should you. Good luck.
  10. It gets better day by day. I've found food that I love to eat I just don't eat as much. Hopefully you will look at food as a fuel for your body and find enjoyment in other things. For most of us "enjoying " food is how we got in this mess. BTW, I love the fruit punch! Good luck!
  11. Well, i bought a chocolate peanut butter bar from the Atkins line 260 cal 19 grams of protein 1 gram sugar...yuk!! I bought it from Bj's so I still have 17 more bars left...lol
  12. I don't think you can go by what other people say. The first week I ate about a 1/4 cup but now I usually eat about a half of a cup at a time. I sometimes feel I can drink more than I'm suppose to. I am going to ask the surgeon tomorrow at my appointment if this is normal. Also, I don't get a "full" feeling. I get this pressure, it feels like it's at my sternum and if I get that feeling I consider that to mean I ate to much or to quickly. Anyway, everyone is different so talk to your surgeon and see what he says.
  13. thats a lot of weight, good for you!
  14. Happy sleeve day! I had mine on 8/9/12. I'm very excited to see the surgeon tomorrow to find out how much more weight i've lost. How are you doing, what things are you eating and how is your weightloss coming along?
  15. Everything will be fine! Goodluck and congratulations to you both!
  16. For the above recipe I use skim mozzarella and I use 3/4 cups instead of 1 cup. Make sure you get all the moisture out of the cauliflower after you cook it in the microwave, blot it with a paper towel. Also, I still do protien shakes, EAS they are 100 cal but they only have 17 grams of protein, I use those as snacks and they are prepackaged so I can leave them in my car and have them whenever I need them.
  17. I eat refried Beans, Hamburger, canned veggies (very little cause I'd rather have the protein) eggs, cottage cheese, yogurt, string cheese, tuna, chicken, chicken in the can. I can eat between 2 and 4oz depending on what it is. Right now I eat pretty much whatever I want except raw veggies and fresh fruit. I was told not to start those until 6-8 weeks. I don't eat Pasta, rice, bread, sodas or juice and I only use artificial sweeteners. My family had spaghetti and meatballs the other nite and I ate two 2oz meatballs witha little sauce. it was very good. This morning I had chicken Soup no noodles because I'm sick and the warth feels good on my throat. A little later I will have egg drop soup for lunch. I came across what I think is a great recipe for pizza crust but I also use it as bread for sandwiches. Cauliflower Crust Pizza Yields: 1 serving* Ingredients: 1 cup cooked, riced cauliflower 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese* 1 egg, beaten 1 tsp dried oregano 1/2 tsp crushed garlic 1/2 tsp garlic salt Olive oil (optional) Pizza sauce Mozzarella cheese, shredded Other additional toppings of your choice *Many people have commented and said that the amount of cheese can be reduced by half, and still taste just as good! Directions: To rice your cauliflower, take 1 large head of cauliflower, remove the stems and leaves, and chop the florets into chunks. Add to a food processor and pulse just until it looks like rice. Alternatively, you can grate the cauliflower with a cheese grater. Place the riced cauliflower in a microwave safe bowl, add 1/4 cup Water, and microwave for 6-8 minutes, stirring half-way through. To make the pizza, preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Spray a pizza pan or cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray. In a medium bowl, combine the cauliflower, mozzarella cheese and egg together and stir until well incorporated. Add the oregano, garlic, and garlic salt. Transfer to the cookie sheet, and shape into a 9-inch circle. Brush the crust with olive oil to help it brown in the oven. Baked at 450 degrees F for 15 minutes, until the crust is browned and cooked through the middle. Remove the crust from the oven, add your sauce and toppings. Place under a broiler at high heat until the cheese is melted and bubbly. (About 3-4 minutes). Allow the pizza to cool slightly, then cut into slices and serve.

I'm 3 weeks 4 days post op. I lost 11.5 lbs the 1st week, I dropped another 10.5 over the next week and a half and now the scale hasn't moved since! I am so frustrated.
  19. Good luck to the both of you! Everything will work out.
  20. I was sleeved on 8/9/12. I'm eating soft foods and doing very well other than I have an URI so I'm feeling a little under the weather.

  22. I do an EAS protein shake its a 100 calories but it only has 17 grams of protein. I eat hamburger refried beans canned veggies, tuna, cottage cheese, string cheese, yogurt, chicken, lunch meat, eggs and crab. any soup but since I introduced soft foods I want things that I can chew. I eat between 2 and 4oz depending on what I eat. I can only do about 2 or 3 oz of tuna or refried beans at a sitting but I can complete 4 oz of hamburger meat at a time. I also found a really good recipe for pizza crust thats made out of cauliflower, cheese and egg but I use it as a bread to make a sandwichs also.
