Surgery is what I want to do. I have been looking into it for a while and just recently took action. VST has been such a find! It's been so nice to ask questions from people going through it or have had it. I'm going to look into your surgeon to see if I would like to be referred there. What was the weight loss you had to do? 10%??

Thanks for responding I have another question of you don't mind! I have had little communication from kaiser(I have had to call and push to get responses) if they offer the options program to you does that mean they recommend medically the surgery? I have only met with my pcp an she had me do labs and an ECG then I got a call to do the options.... Again thank you

I have kaiser oc and have my orientation this week.

Hi I am new to the site. I am 26 urs old. Married to my best friend two yrs ago. I have a wonderful 1 year old son! Light of my life! I am just beginning the kaiser options program that involves 12 weeks of classes and then medical clearance. Although my husband would not first agree to the sugary has started to understand and become very supportive. I look forward to the possibilities post surgery and ita been so nice to read your stories and find people going through the same thing...

I'm from garden grove too, I'm just starting kaisers options program... 12 classes then medical clearance. Keep updating how your doing.

How long did it all end up taking you? I have kaiser and live in oc. I have orientation next week for the options but other then the classes don't know what I am looking at as far as a time frame or what to expect.

I haven't has the surgery yet. I have kaiser and will be attending the options program orientation next week... I am eager to start the process and don't know what kind of a time frame I am looking at. Its been nice going through and finding people sharing the same experience! Good luck to all on here
