    Arkansas Roll Call...

I've done well. I am 7 weeks today. I've not lost a ton. 28lbs... I am down to 213 and my goal per my surgeon is 150lbs. I have no desire to go one a strick low carb diet so most days in eat right, but will still eat what I want.. Just a whole lot less!!! I am out of my clothes! I can still wear my shirts, but all my old jeans fall off! I enjoy that! I am super apple shaped and I've actually lost 4 1/2 inches around the middle! My bird legs are a lot birdier too! LOL

    Arkansas Roll Call...

When I was in Morrilton I went to LR for a seminar for lap band... I found out then that public school employees had a 100% exclusion from obesity treatment. I am no longer teaching, but glad to see they've gotten rid of that exclusion! I am now on medicare and there were a lot of hoops to jump through also, but it was worth it in the end... Took a total of 10 months have surgery. Some of that delay wasn't insurance related though

    Arkansas Roll Call...

I am in NWA and in used Roller, but I'd think as long as you're under 450lbs you should be Ok... I only lost 7lbs preop and that was about 8 months total! Just wasn't as motivated I guess... Had too many food funerals! I was 239 the day if surgery
  4. I do have restriction! I just get hungry soon, it seems
  5. I have found when you say you're hungry on here you get criticized... I am hungrier than I was before surgery. I've had people tell me there's no way I can be hungry! It's just acid, you need a PPI, etc.. I am hungry more often. I wish I wasn't... I do feel I have to think about eating more than I used to. If i let the hunger go too long without eating I struggle to eat slow enough, because I feel ravenous! I will figure it out, but saddened to see others make accusations when we vent or tell our experience. I know I am in control, but I've been in control my entire life and have been morbidly obese most of it! You don't turn the Titanic around on dime... Some of are slower than others! I've not weighed what I was now in probably 25 years... That part is wonderful! The eating is still a struggle. So sad that not everyone can understand that, but not everyone can.
  6. I sort of can relate. I do have restriction, but I am hungrier than before. Seems like no matter how long I wait to drink Water after eating I am hungry not long after. I have lost weight. Not super fast, but I am losing. I am so sorry you're having these issues... I also understand living on limited income. I am on ssdi and have to be so careful with my budget. I do eat right most of the time, but do eat things like hot dogs without the bread, etc... Keep your chin up!
  7. I take two celebrate chewable multi vitamins, two scoops of BA calcium crystals in drinks, iron and get mega dose shots of b-12 every 3 months, biotin! If i only get one scoop of calcium, I eat a few lemon calcium chews! Yummy treat! I am about out of celebrate multi and am gonna a try some bariatric chewable vitamins at walgreens
  8. Did your surgeon/nut not tell you what to take? My intake cost included all the vitamins and a manuel all on a cool tote

    Have you

I took a sop of coke, but it was a fountain drink and about an hour old... a lot of the carbonation was gone. It felt a little uncomfortable, but passed fairly quickly. I was sick with a stomach virus this weekend and had some sprite mixed 1:1 with water. No issues, but the water killed the carbonation.
  11. Glad everyone is doing so well... I am off all insulin and two different diabetes pills! Off all hbp meds too! Nearly 30lbs gone forever... 64 more to go!

    Free for all day?

Be careful with the popcorn, that's super early be eating popcorn! The kernels and those husks can get caught in your staple line and cause issues! Major issues!

    Does everyone

Breads fill me up too quickly. Toasted is the best way to eat it. If i have something with bread I remove the top bun and tear away a lot if the bottom. I rarely eat it though. Tried and failed
