    OUCH!

If you Google it you will see that this surgery is the only one for those of us with autoimmune disease because it's the only wls that you can have NSAIDS and steroids

    YOUR tickers and profiles

I've only used the app and always felt like I was missing something! LOL ALSO...is there an area (if I'm on my PC) that defines some of these terms I've been seeing ans have no idea what they mean?
  10. Tennessee,Alabama and Arkansas all home aloners! Too bad we aren't closer and we could pool our money and fwt a hotel on the coast and hire a nurse to serve us protein drinks from the balcony overlooking the white sands and sea! A girl can dream, right?

Diabetes for more than 5 years

I've been diabetic for about 15 years and take 6 different meds!!!!!!! I take 1000 er metformin, Amaryl, Actos, victoza, Lantus and benicar! I don't have hbp, but take it to protect kidneys. I also have ankylosing spondylitis and sjogrens syndrome. I have to have sleeve because of the latter 2. I am hoping the surgery will help with the pain ans fatigue that accompany them too. I don't expect great miracles with the autoimmune diseases, but less weight can't hurt! I turned 50 this week so I've been diabetic from an early age ans have not done well on controlling the way I should. I lost 60 lbs about 5 years ago and could see a huge difference in sugar control.

    my birthday..

I can sooo relate! I was 50 on the 21st and stayed home all day and didn't see. A soul ...my mama called that morning, but I text my friend the night before and asked I'd they wanted to eat the next day, my birthday. I didn't mention it was my BD, but she knows the date ....didn't answer my text until 6pm the night of my birthday to tell me she didn't feel well. I threw myself a party ...a pity party! Lol I got over it! Eventually!
  16. Cadilex...I officially hate you! !! No, it's pure jealousy! I am thrilled for you! I will be coming home alone too!

    Medicare

Medicare approved sleeve last summer but. Many states, including mine, didn't start covering until the new year. I was worried! I've been done jumping through their hoops for months so I just had to wait! I can't have the RNY which medicare has paid for for years! Woo hoo! $200 for hosp and $0 for doctor, but I have to pay $75 for the year of follow ups with the nut

    Talk to me about... BROTH!

Also!! I've added naked protein to the broth and it's very filling! Let it sit long enough to take on the chicken taste ans lose the protein taste! Yummy!

    Talk to me about... BROTH!

Dark meat makes better broth...like legs and backs or even thighs as mentioned. Also, you can freeze the shredded chicken and use it a few weeks post op ...pureed in the stock sounds gross but a few weeks post op. When you need heavier broth...I bet it's delish! I also use the pasty stuff in the jar...it is better than any other bullion as mentioned earlier
