I Am really nervous about my children after getting sleeved! I have a 7, 3, 2 yr old! How long will I have to hold off holding them? My dh will only have a few days off so will a few days be sufficient before I'm doing everything on my own again? My 7 (almost 8) year old is a huge help always but the other 2 are still " babies " that NEED momma...lol What do you guys think?
-
We should start a quitters support group ......I've never really wanted to stop till now, but this is sooooo worth it! I'm gonna be giving up nicotine and food at almost the same time, that is soo scary...lol

ANYONE with bcbs Ill please pm me I have so many questions! Thanks -
If you are doing this cold turkey......you are doing GREAT! I am proud and envious of you for only have cheated once! The scariest part of this for me is the quitting smoking! But as of next tues I will be part of your club ....keep up the great work;)
-
Good luck with the chantix! My pcp is giving it to me next Tuesday! I am so nervouse that when I quit smoking I won't be able to lose the preop weight! Every time I have tried to quit I put on so much weight I just start again! But I know from the past chantix does work!

I told my mom, my sisters and husband. I have to have a support team for my 3 kids;) I don't know if I will tell anyone else, I have a fear of telling my coworkers. I am a hair stylist at a small salon and the other 3 ladies are very petite and my actual boss is a busy body! I am so afraid to tell her because I'm afraid the whole town will know before I even have the surgery! And then there's my clients.......what the heck do I tell them! Sooooo confusing!

I Can't Wait To Not Have To...
Jessielynn replied to BrickHouse's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can't wait to not have to position my 1 1/2 yr old beside my roll when I hold him! To not have to grab something to turn over in bed! To have sex with the lights on;) And to buy clothes because I like it not because it's long enough! -
I am a hair stylist and in my professional opinion;) I would ask your stylist if there was any kind of highlighting you could do without bleach and with a low developer. Something maybe to get you by till it starts getting better. If your hair gets damaged you don't want to be dealing with breakage and losing your hair! Or you could ask to put a few in just at your part line to try to camouflage the roots till it gets a little better! Hope that helps;)

Smokeranalyzer Test
Jessielynn replied to SleeveShelly's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I understand before I even went to my pcp I had to make up my mind if I was gonna quit for life for this! It is a hard decision I understand, smoking to me was almost a best friend...lol...but one I know I have to let go! We have decided for me that chantix with Wellbutrin would be right for me! With the sleeve right after I quit the weight gain associated with quitting would be gone! You can do this! And for life! To have a life free from nicotine and obesity is priceless;) -

Got My Surgery Date
Jessielynn replied to cdscott89's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yay! I bet ou are excited! When did you submit your insurance requirements? -
Had my psych eval this morn! She said I seem like the perfect candidate...yay! This should be the last thing before they submit to insurance! I am so excited and so nervous!
-
The individual must have actively participated in non-surgical methods of weight reduction; these efforts must be fully appraised by the physician requesting authorization for surgery; Ok this is exactly what is in my plans guidelines. Does this mean I need 6 months of diet or should the diets I've used in the past be sufficient as long as my pcp describes them in the referral? I have got the referral, going in for the psych eval tomarrow, and really don't want to miss a step! I am so nervous that I've missed something.....please help.
