I ended up with 3 clots now and am on Coumadin and lovanox. I still am glad I had the surgery. I was unlucky but, when my clots resolve I will be thin and healthy. No one can make you ok with having surgery if your terrified. what we can do is support each other let you know from our experiences. My advice research research research. Make a list of every question and ask your surgeon. Every surgery has risks, some of us did get stuck with complications For me obesity has more long term risks that the sleeve surgery. For every me and iggy there are 100 everything is awesome posts. Honestly trying to choke down Protein Shakes and getting my liquid in is more of a hardship than the clots are at this point. Hope you make the best decision for you based on knowledge not fear. Regardless what you decide to do be comfortable with your decision.

Billyvmom I kind of don't understand? You have been sleeved but you binged on chinese food? How is this possible I can barely eat 2-4 oz at a time and then am full for hours.

My binge was a few bites of crab Rangoon , half a dumpling, and a few bites of teriyaki ck. the problem is I did this a few times over the weekend and it's a slippery slope. Getting out of the house is hard due to all the blood clot drama and nonstop dr visits. So when I was given the ok I caved I am starting over and have done good today and have dinner planned out tilapia and steamed veggies. Just have to keep going!!!

So mad at myself!!! I have done nothing but, snack since I got the ok to eat... Want to kick myself today but, gonna dust myself off and I am making myself get back on the saddle. I was so sick of the mushy liquids and went a little crazy. I can't eat much but, what I ate was junk... It wasn't like I was hungry I just wanted to eat. I could see your body reacting to the trauma in different ways. I would think this is normal. When in doubt call your dr. Also if your nervous I would just take a test. I'm a worrier so I would make myself crazy with the what ifs. Sorry I couldn't offer more insight.

They won't let you use tampon during surgery. Too much risk of infection. Not a big deal they have you use pads do if you don't want the horrible hospital ones bring your own.

I understand I came home them was readmitted for pnemonia and then the blood clot. Held hostage for 5 more days now they found second clot and am being subjected to a second ct today because the blood thinners aren't working and they think I may have one close to my lungs. Not a good sign when they call you and say pack a bag just in case... Sigh! Prayers you feel better soon !!!!

My advice before you cheat lick the cheese off the Doritos or chew and spot out. I had to do that a few times when I just had to chew something. Don't swallow no reason to risk your health.
