Thanks! I really needed to hear that!

Try walking a little & use doctor approved analgesics for a few days-I bet it's trapped gas.

Thanks everyone! Couldn't do it without everyone's support!!! I just don't know why my clothes are WAY too big for me, but weigh the same? Is it the Protein?

I am also frustrated with my stall!! Started at 272 when sleeved 9-5-12. Stalled for almost 3 weeks at 240!!!
What should I do? My clothes are all way too big-am I losing inches but not weight? Help!!

I'm gurgling right now!!LOL!

I hope you are doing better! I was sleeved Sept. 8th & there have been some uncomfortable times, for sure, but nothing like you have had. Hang in there! Praying for you.

I appreciate your updates since it helps me get mentally prepared for my surgery this Friday!

Scheduled Sept. 8th. Getting nervous!

Thanks!

I'm scheduled to be sleeved Sept.8 with Dr. Rodriquez who has great reviews, but I'm really nervous about post-op follow-up. I live in Ohio. How do others handle this? Just go to your usual MD for labs; not neessary? Will they talk to me about this when I have my surgery?

I can appreciate where you are coming from. I am 56, 5'4', 270# and I feel so confident in my decision! My sleeve is scheduled for Sept. 8 and I've started my pre-op diet. I think part of me was in denial about how truly fat I am! I am ruining my health-high cholesterol, HTN, both knees need replaced, pre-diabetic. I can hardly walk to my unit in the hospital from the parking lot to get to work!
I had to wake up and get real.
I didn't think I could do it (lose the weight), but I can!

This may be a dumb question, but where and with who do we follow up after surgery?

Hang in there! Just think...you're doing it!

I'm getting very nervous, but excited, if that even makes any sense.
Started my pre-op diet and so far doing okay.

Hi! I'll be sending prayers your way! God Bless!

Hi! Being nervous is normal! Keep yourself calm by deep breathing, take a walk & think of all the reasons why you're having surgery! Remember you so worth it! Now is your time!
You'll feel so much better--able to walk, keep up with everyone, able to breathe better, look better, buy clothes you want to instead of settling for what fits, get off meds, hopefully!
My surgery is Sept.8, 2012 & I'm nervous too. BUT we can do it!
I'll be thinking of you tomorrow & sending best wishes & blessings your way!
Good Luck!

You're inspiring me! My surgery is coming up Sept.8.

Hi! My surgery is scheduled for Sept. 8th, so we'll be starting journey about the same time. I have not told a lot of people for the same reasons as you. I'm 5'4", 270 lbs. Also looking for encouragement and a buddy for support & to give support. My children are all grown up. I'm doing this for me,my health is going downhill & I can honestly say I am sick and tired of being sick and tired!

Hi Everyone!
How much time should a person take off from work? My surgery facilitator told me I would be able to go back to work 3 days after my sleeve surgery. Also, where do Mexico surgery patients go for post-op check-ups?

Congratulations!!

My pre-op diet is for 2 weeks, but I think I may start sooner.

I can relate about the smells & tastes being too much! I had my surgery the second week of Srpt 2012 & I've lost 51 lbs. so far---slowly but surely. I eat pretty much what I want, just smaller amounts & losing 1-2 pounds/week. Hang in there! it gets better.
