  1. fattymcfatterson,

I see that Dr. Cribbins is going to be your VSG surgeon and that Dr. Heffernan will be doing your hysterectomy. I had/am having their partners Dr. Hamn and Dr. Munoz. LOL

My recovery from my hysterectomy went pretty smoothly and comparing it to others (a friend had a hysterectomy the same month) I think that the DaVinci made a difference. About a week after surgery, I went over and hung out with friends and they were amazed at how great that I was doing. That said, don't overdue it too soon b/c you'll set yourself back. Like I started trying to do a lot of cleaning/laundry and things in the 2nd week and then I felt like I did on Day #2 or 3. I also definitely would get drained energy-wise so much more easily after hysterectomy and that probably lasted for a month or more (getting progressively better).

Good luck with your surgeries! I think that's it's great that you're getting them over with at the same time!

  2. Ditto what Tracey said. I ended up leaving my first study at 1:30 in morning bc I hadn't gotten 1 bit of sleep, was itchy and leg leads kept popping off (Hello! I told the guy I moved my legs to get to sleep yet he gave me no slack.). As I was leaving, they told me that I could've taken a sleeping pill. On my re-do study, I took an Ambien, brought my own bedding in case I'd been allergic to the detergent in their sheets and took an antihistamine. Plus, I insisted that they give me plenty of room for me to move my arms and legs. Much better and I slept for 5 hrs. Same thing when I had to go back for CPAP.
