Worried - Need Encouragement...
Your story is the EXACT reason for the success of this surgery. I remember my doc telling me that the key to the sleeve's success is that it gives the patient the tool to NOT gain the weight back. By the way, the fact that you recognize (and had the courage to express it) the issue means you've won half the battle. Now you just have to devise a plan to counteract it.... There are a ton of people here on VST that will offer you support when you need it.... ~Dana

Anyone tried Green Coffee Extract recommended by Dr. Oz?
Well Damn.... LOL..... I'm not very familiar with Dr. Oz other than I know he's on Oprah right? I mean, I've heard of him but didn't know he was shill! Oh well, another easy fix dream dashed!

Today i found out that i streched my pouch
My personal observation about restriction... As long as I am drinking a protein shake or something gooey or liquidity it takes me a while to feel any restriction. I know when I've had enough when I just don't "feel" like eating anymore. Almost like, ok, I'm done with this or it just suddenly isn't appetizing anymore. But, when I eat dense protein, I almost immediately hit a brick wall (stomach!). With just a few bites I am miserable. I have no choice but to stop or it feels like a heart attack! Now to the question about lower BMIs having smaller sleeves... It is my understanding that they use a bougie to measure, which would mean that the sleeve sizes would not be drastically different, right? Maybe they give guys a little bigger sleeve than women, I don't know.

Anyone tried Green Coffee Extract recommended by Dr. Oz?
Here is the link.... I've have two friends taking it and they have seen results.... http://www.doctoroz.com/episode/green-coffee-fat-burner-works?video=14464 Apparently Dr. Oz conducted his own trial and got great results..... He doesn't endorse any particular brand. Just wondering if anyone has tried it. I'm a slow loser and thought I might try it -- maybe it would boost my losses a little bit.... ~Dana

Flats/Wraps & low carb tortilla help!
Try the Mission Carb Balance Tortillas. The are VERY GOOD and they are NOT wheat tortillas. I tried a few of those over the the years and they were horrible and gross to me. I always threw them out-- along with whatever I had made with the first one out of the package. I also make low carb tortilla chips with the Mission Carb Balance and have party guests rave about them (who have no idea they're low carb).

Wow! You are doing awesome... 42 lbs in 7 weeks!! Congrats- All of my December sleevers...
And by the way, that empty gnawing feeling started about 4 weeks after surgery...- All of my December sleevers...
I had this exact thing... it was a deep gnawing type emptiness. It felt like very much like hunger and I was kind of surprised. But after doing a little digging for info I realized that it was acid. I also worried that I had developed an ulcer because I took 3 Advil on an empty stomach two days in a row ( I have a torn ACL that causes swelling and pain) without even thinking about the surgery. That empty feeling started right after that... anyway, I was already on Prevacid 2x day and I added 1 Zantac in the evening (info I found). It helped and for the most part the symptoms are gone. But it was pretty miserable for a while...- All of my December sleevers...
Hi Aaron, I know they want us to stick to 3 meals and 2 snacks a day but since I have transitioned to real food I find it difficult to get enough calories in with 3 main meals. I cannot eat enough at one time to keep my calories up eating 3x so I kind of eat basically 5 small meals.... stuff like a couple ounces of chicken (I dip it in a dressing made with Greek yogurt), a couple ounces of fish and veggie, a couple ounces of shrimp with a tiny salad, scrambled egg whites, a Babybell Light cheese round. It also helps to keep from getting hungry.- Sleeve done on 1/29 walking in public a good idea?
I was out shopping 72 hours after surgery....I just felt a little tired and a little sore..but surgery wise it was almost like I hadn't had anything done. I walked my dogs 2 days after surgery.....- Today i found out that i streched my pouch

Water is the hardest thing for me. Just can't seem to get enough down...- Hello from sleeved-to-be!
I stayed home and sent my hubby to my brother's house so he didn't have to suffer because of me! It didn't bother me at all not to go BUT I do think it may have been tough if I'd have gone and would have had to watch everybody eating some of my favorite things....
