I'm the queen of awkward. ( Really I am) and I had the same problem. I was wondering how would I bring it up what would he say blah blah blah.. But my bmi is 40 and I have health problems, I needed a 5 year history of my obesity so I just awkwardly shoved the paper at him lol I was like uhhh can you fill this out? haha and he told me that he will support my decision but he thought I should try the new weight loss pill first before taking such drastic steps because he said I'm so young and have time to do so if the pills and stuff didn't work, but that is the reason I decided to do it because I am young and I don't want anymore health problems. so Good luck to you! lol * i know I kinda rambled*

Why would they do that if you're a sleeve? weird! Hope you're still not there lol

Just because they want a bmi of 40 plus doesn't have to mean anything because my insurance wanted a bmi of 40 or 35 with an ailment, so maybe ms and your knees will help them push this through. Don't give up! stay strong! Keep on your insurance! Make them push it through! Best of luck to you!

That's awesome!! congratulations! and that is great that they reduced the diet for you! under my insurance I didn't have to do the pre diet, I just had to have a 5 year history of obesity, ( um I've been fat my whole life easy peasy lol) be over the age of 21 ( I'm 24) and have a bmi of 40 or 35 with an ailment ( I have both lol ) and ( I'm on my dads insurance ) and they cover obesity. so I'm assuming that is why everything went so smoothly. But we're only getting sleeved 10 days apart! go us! lol Keep me updated for sure!

i agree, I haven't met any yet either that would be nice! lol oh and Stephanie, ( My name is rachel btw) I scheduled my procedure right after I hade my EGD, they were nice friendly and fast , everything is going well! and the egd is a sinch let me tell ya lol I worried myself to death about it and it was super super easy lol

Gotcha! I was there today for the egd funtimes it was quite chill back there and the people were nice. And it was cold.. a big plus for me cause I hate heat lol and I got my date today! Sept 10!

Yay! I just got my date! September 10! I can't believe how fast everything is moving July 18 was my consultation August 15 was my egd and Sept 10 is my surgery wow.. did it go this fast for anyone else?!

Too all- it went well you really remember nothing! I woke up apparently talking about green beans and Ham my favorite foods and I told the nurse I had a dream about a cup of water lol I remember nothing. My throat is only a little irritated and I'm still loopy from the anesthesia lol Ohh and I got my date September 10!!!!

And that would have been weird if I was talking about an egg not an egd lol I'm still a bit loopy from the anesthesia apparently I woke up talking about my favorite food Ham and green beans Ans I told the nurse I had a dream she said. About what and I said a cup of water lol I remember nothing

Well that's good that there isn't anything to major to worry about with his staff.. but I was wondering what journeylite was maybe he told me and I just forgot or something heh. I haven't heard anything yet about him telling me to lose weight before the surgery, i weigh about 267ish and they told me I'm on the line for the 1 or 2 week pre op diet.. so I gotta push myself a little bit.. I'm already scared about that diet. haha, I'm also scared because i don't like other people taking care of me, and I don't wanna be helpless after the surgery lol also did you lose any hair? I'm not looking forward to that..

I wear "gut sinchers" (that's what I call them lol) and I wear 2 of them just to smooth out my fat.. that would be nice to get rid of those..
