    I Dont Need Your Help..thanks

Oh man, that sucks. She was rude! Some people are so dumb and don't think about how much a small comment can hurt others. You handled the situation much better than I would have. Hope your day goes better.

    Progress With Kiaser Oc!

Whew good luck with things, waiting was making me nervous crazy. But like most people say, they are glad they went through with it all. I am 2 weeks out and I am glad I did the surgery, I am making better, healthier choices that are helping others around me too. Good luck with things!

    Pork Rinds

Thanks for the comparison, makes sense. I just can't wait to eat meat, I am in the first stage of soft foods. I do miss my crunchy foods though.

    Not Well Today 4 Weeks

I have the same thing, it is like no one is noticing the weight loss. I have lost 20 lbs, and I know that on someone my size, that is like some back fat and not super noticeable, but it helps to have people notice and comment. Positive feedback is good. Good luck with everything. I too am working on hunger issues, but mine are all mental hunger.

I have thought of pork rinds, are they healthy for us to eat, or a good source of protein?

    Weight Loss Stall Already

I too am at a stall for 5 days now, I felt sad at first, but I feel like my clothes are fitting better and I am becoming more defined. We all have to hang in there during stalls and not get discouraged, easier said than done though.

Are You Weighing Yourself Too Much?

I weigh myself daily in the morning. I have heard that it is both bad and good, I guess it depends on how you take the numbers. For me, I am curious as to what my body is doing. Also, I like to keep on top of my weight, because for so many years, I rarely stepped on a scale. So I do not obsess over the number just like to see it go down. Very interesting article, thanks for posting.

    The Heat!

I too am curious about this, I am 2 weeks out and I am trying to stay away from outside when the sun is out. I am worried that if I get too hot, I will not be able to drink enough to feel better. Good luck to you. I hope there is a good answer.
  9. I wake up at 0430 and cannot eat until about 0830. I don't know why but it is like my stomach only wants liquids in the early morning. I am not so much tired as worn out from going back to work. Good luck to you,

What Im I Suppose To Feel

I am two weeks out. I have not gotten sick once, when I am full I hiccup once, I never used to but I am glad my body is telling me when I am full. Maybe try closing your eyes and trying to listen and feel what your body is telling you. That sounds weird, but it has been working for me. Good luck to you.
  12. I too seem to be having this issue as I have found prior to surgery I ate out of boredom a lot. I have been taking short walks or trying to read. Let me know if you find something that works! Good luck to you!
  13. Hello, I do not feel offended, it is cool that you are looking out for him. Here are my answers to your questions... 1. How much pain will he realistically expect the first few days? I took 2 weeks off work, mainly because I could and it was recommended. I used some vacation time and short term disability. I feel I could have gone back to work, but only because I sit at a desk all day. I am still unable to lift anything too heavy. My pain was minimal, I was in the hospital the day of surgery and then half of the next day. I have only taken 1 pain medicine (Advil) since I have been home. I am feeling good now, it has been 2 weeks. 2. What (other than broth) did you find helped during the liquid only stage? I had two liquid stages, clear liquids and regular liquids. In clear liquids, it was really only Water and broth for me, but I like the Knorr broth, I think it is more flavorfull. The liquid stage was a lot of Protein shakes, I like Atkins, also diet v8 Splash is good. 3. What foods did you enjoy during the puree stage? Puree stage - weeks 2-4 for me. I enjoy mashed potatoes the most! Also, flavored apple sauce and Nature's Child Spongebob Squished banana Squeezers. 4. Does all of your family know? My whole family knows, but they are very supportive. It is sad that his family is not like that, but you seem to be and that is important. 5. When did you begin to notice an increase in energy and the desire to really work out? I am only two weeks out, but I feel better walking, especially after surgery, to get things moving again. 6. Did you have any complications from the surgery? I had no complications from surgery, I feel well and it went better than expected. I did have a hiatal hernia fixed while I was under and a swollen lymph node removed, but like I said, I feel better. Good luck to you and your husband!

    Gallbladder :-(

It seems that a lot of people are having gallbladder issues. For those of you who have had problems, was it a problem prior to WLS or was it caused by WLS?
  15. I am two weeks out and I have not noticed it worse or better. I lived off of carbs and Diet Coke before surgery. Good luck to you.
  16. So this is all very interesting. But I am sort of confused on the difference between tummy tuck and panni... tummy tuck is muscle and skin, but panni is only skin? Would the appearance be the same? What are the benifits of adjusting the muscle too?

    What About Medications.

I know that everyone is different, but for me, my doctor had me take my pills as normal the day after surgery. I took one and waited 5-10 min then took the next one. I was not having issues holding water down. Also I think my body knew I needed my pills and did a great job taking them. Good luck with everything.
  20. Thank you for your video, you are doing great! Good luck with everything!!
  21. Prior to surgery I was always hungry or at least rarely full. This was my big fear that I would still be hungry but have no place for the food to go. I have no hunger pains, some head hunger that I am still working through, but it feels great not to revolve the day around food and eating. This is what makes me most happy, hopefully you get the comfort you need and succeed!!
  22. Hello All, I just had surgery this past Tuesday, I am doing well, but we found out that I had a hiatal hernia, so the surgeon fixed it while he was there. I know others have had this, what was your experience? Does having a hernia fixed at the same time make things worse? I feel alot of gas pain and I am trying to walk it out, which it has gotten better, but I am not sure if the hernia makes things harder too. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Hiatal Hernia Questions

My doctor just called me and said that the pain is from everything being sore, gas and the hiatal hernia, He said the hernia makes it so that there is more to heal, but like I told him, I feel better everyday, so I figured it would pass and I just need to wait. Thanks everyone.

    Hiatal Hernia Questions

I am not sure yet, I know there is a lot of that gas they inflate your stomach with during surgery which is causing gas pains. I sometimes feel discomfort when I drink, but it is not really pain, so I can't say to what it is. I am up and moving around though and have not had any major issues yet, I hope to heal and not have any leaks or issues. Good luck to you with your surgery.

    Hiatal Hernia Questions

Well for me, my insurance did not cover the sleeve becuase I do not have bariatrics on my plan, but my insurance is covering the hernia, they are basically billing them seperatly.
